WOYWW 332

Hello peeps.  I'm so happy and excited to join Julia for WOYWW!  To find out what this is all about visit Julia's blog Stamping Ground.  I've missed you all and can't wait to reconnect!

My workdesk has been my comfy chair in the living room.  I've been knitting spa cloths because I don't have to think to do this.  I thought I had knitted more than this. The project on the left is a sweater I was hoping to take on vacation.... It could still happen.  I also started another project but can't share it here as it's a gift and the person reads my blog.

I returned to work in August after recovering from knee surgery (see previous post if you're brave).  I also had planned to put my one bedroom condo on the market so I've been going through things as I have energy.  I've had some things done around the house.  Now I've decided to stay where I'm at for at least two more years, closer to my (hopefully) retirement.  I'm excited about what I've done so far but it's not quite photo ready yet.  I'll share some pics soon!

I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.  It might take me a few days but I promise I'll come visit.

Also, thanks for all the well wishes and love!  The blogging community really is wonderful.

Peace,
Kay

Oh that will be an awesome sweater when done. I usually colour lots on my sofa if there is a light on when watching tv. I have a hard time sitting still sometimes :)
It's tough sometimes to stay or go from where you live at least you can think about it 2 years down the road

Oh Kay, I have not been a good WOYWW friend or anything or I would have checked to see how you were. I knew nothing f the knee operation. So glad it is over and you are well on the road to recovery. The photos are a good documentation of how you progressed but ouch!
Love your little companion - he must keep you on your toes.
Great knitting, perhaps we could see the sweater in full view another week.
Hugs, Neet 13 xx
ps will send the passport thingie again (if I forget please remind me)

It's so good to have you back in the fold on a Wed [as well as last Friday]. Glad to see you've managed some knitting....it sounds like automatic knitting is on the cards for you but that's fine....I have many days where I like to create without taxing my brain too much lol.
Have a great week.

Good to see you among us again! Glad your surgery went well and that you are back to work. I don't even want to think about moving! At my age I'm afraid my next move will be the nursing home! Glenda #30

So pleased you're coming along well Kay! Wonderful knitting there. And, TBH, it's a good thing to wait a couple of years before your move. You can enjoy what you've been having done to your condo - and also take more time to consolidate ideas about where you want to be!

Hugs

Yay, it's good to see you back Kay :-) I'm glad all is ok now after your surgery, are you running marathons yet?! ;-)
I think it's a good idea to stay put and enjoy the improvements you've been making to your condo...there's plenty of time to ponder where your next adventure will take you!
Hugs, LLJ 10 xx

Sounds like your surgery went well. Nice to have projects to sit and enjoy when we need to rest. Like Glenda, I've no plans to move, but I hope to go to Assisted Living!!!! much more fun than the nursing homes. Wishing you steady comeback and lots of fun this week.

Lovely to see you on WOYWW, Kay and I'm glad your surgery went well. It's amazing what they can do nowadays isn't it. My Mum was in a wheelchair before she had a knee replacement and now she walks without even a stick.
Your knitting looks beautiful.
Have a good week.

Oh girly it is lovely to see you! You've really been through it and have een very patient, it is really hard when you have other disorders slowing down your healing. Big fat pat n the back and well done you, this new knee will make life so much better! Annd get you being back at work, I should imagine that sitting in a chair with a bit of knitting is all you're good for after work, certainly for a while! As the recipient of a spa cloth, I would say that you can't really knit enough. Despite your decision to stay awhile longer, you're still doing the sorting and cleaning...now that is a mind set, good for you. Am excited to be getting a tour when you're done!

Glad you're on the mend! Love the color of the sweater...while I only knitted for a bit; it just exhausted me! Maybe I was overthinking it. Have a great week.

Ohhh I had a peek at the knee surgery... ouch! I can see that staying put for a little while is a good idea otherwise that would be another stressor in your life. Love those knitting projects.

I worked my way back through your posts and also read about your knee surgery. I'm a retired nurse, so I don't flinch at wounds and stitches etc. I'm glad you are doing well at the moment. I don't know what sort of work you do but i hope you can sit down regularly.
Great knitting projects. I like the spa cloths. Don't know what they are exactly but they look nice. And the sweater will awesome.
Have a great week,

Knitting is one of my favourite chill out activities - especially if it's something simple. It's always so rewarding to have a finished article. x Jo

Hi Kay, thanks for your visit and your lovely comment. M.E. is known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the USA. A lot of people with M.E. also have fibromyalgia but I am one of the fortunate ones who do not! Sorry you had Google probs and lost your comment first time around - I am finding the new login process extremely tedious with Google, I must admit, and hate getting waylaid by people's Google+ pages when all I want is to get on their blogs! It's all getting very tiresme...

I hadn't done much with my rubber stamps recently, either, but it's quite fun to be doing it again. I am exploring lots of techniques old and new with my card factory, which I am actually enjoying a lot more than I thought I would.

Cooking for one is not a problem if you've got a freezer. Just cook for 6 or more, and split it up into individual containers and freeze them. Instant ready meals! That's what I've always done and was doing when I was on my own before we got married. I just freeze containers for 2 these days! It's no more hassle cooking for 6 than it is for 1 - you just need a larger saucepan lol!

I can't wait to be eating "real" food again. I shan't rush into things and overtire myself initially but will gradually stock up the freezer with wholesome home cooked fare, and get my blender going again for my smoothies. Soon flush out all the chemo crud from my system lol! Final chemo tomorrow - I can't believe it's finally happening.

Your spa cloths look interesting! Are they nice and rough for massaging? I must get my knitting going again this winter.

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #27

So glad you are mending and getting back to 100% healthy soon. So what is a spa cloth and how is it used?
