Friday Smiles

Hello peeps.  I'm joining in with Annie at A Stitch In Time.   I hope everyone has had a great and creative week.  I've started playing around with hand weaving.  I think I'm really going to like it.
Here's my smile for the week.  A friend of mine's husband made this picnic table for their grandchildren.  The grands live in Nevada and were here for a visit.  Once this kids were done eating the dogs quickly shared what's left of the burger.  Everyone had a great time.

Peace,
Kay

WOYWW 363

Hello everyone!  I'm alive and well and getting back in the groove of bloggingI'm joining in with Julia over at Stamping Ground.  People from places near and far show their desks and what they are working on.  Julia has a full explanation of WOYWW on her blog HERE.

I can't believe my last post was months ago.  Wow.  I've been busy knitting up spa cloths and cowls for the Craft Fair I will be in in November.  I also consigned some of my spa cloths to the local knitting store, Warm Hearts Yarn.  We'll see how I do with that.

I bought myself a different kind of loom.  It's handmade and is very fun to use.  I've only woven a little sample to see how it works.  It's a small loom, something that I could make pieces of fabric to sew together or small projects.
I use it on my lap.  It's shaped so it's comfortable to use.  I'll try to get a side view next week.
I've learned that I need to put a "spacer" so that I don't start weaving right next to the loom.
This is what I ended up with.  I probably won't do anything with it.  You can see that the bottom is tighter than the top.  I need to learn to be consistent of how tight/loose I weave.  The first photo shows the truest color of the yarn.

Thank you for visiting.  I know I've been away for quite some time.  I've thought of all my blogging friends and have missed you.  I haven't even gotten on my computer to even hop around.

I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.  I hope you've had a good week so far.

Happy WOYWW,
Kay
