Happy New Year!

Can you believe that it's 2013?!?  Holy moly.  I guess it is true; the older you get the faster time seems to go by.  I honestly thought I wouldn't make any resolutions.  I thought of calling them "goals" instead.  Same horse, different stripes.....

Some things I'm going to focus on:

Going outside my comfort zone with knitting.  I've been making scarves, cowls, spa cloths and a few baby blankets.  I've actually knitted myself a vest (and one for my Aunt).  I've started another vest for myself, using the same pattern but with some drastic modifications.  We'll see what the finished project looks like.  I'd also like to do some more felting projects.

Exercising.  O.k., I know.  It sounds a lot like losing weight; and if that happens I'll be so dang happy.  My health has really taken a turn, and not a good one.  I used to go to the local swimming pool and walk laps in the therapy pool.  I'm going to start doing that again.  Hopefully I'll slowly build up my stamina and regain some flexibility.  Yoga is supposed to be good for what ails me too.

Organize, organize, organize.  I started doing this when going through the house, trying to get rid of clutter.  I have some things at the storage unit and I thought I was being methodical about what I was doing.  I need to label boxes and just really focus on a small area at a time.

When I started this blog I had absolutely no idea how it would enrich my life.  Thank you to all my followers and fellow blogging buddies.  I can't tell you how you've added a spark to my creativity - encouraging me when I need it, introducing me to new crafts, and giving me a glimpse of different places around the world.  Thank you so very much!

I hope you and yours have a wonderful 2013!  May all your wildest dreams come true!

Peace,
Kay

OK, this is my big resolution...lol...and no laughing either...or eye rolling...not allowed! lmao I'm going to not color my hair and see what it is in it's natural state...it's a lofty goal...kinda scary actually, wondering how much grey is under there! Now quit laughing, wave back to me!

Happy New Year Kay, I think goals are better than resolutions, sounds more achievable somehow! Hope the condo sells quickly and you get to move into a bigger place, and have a go at the socks too, very easy if you can knit vests!!

Hugs

The only resolution I managed to stick to was the one I made to not make any more resolutions. I do have some goals but I haven't made any new ones lately, just keep plugging away at the old ones.

That said, one goal I had last year was to use up all these random adhesives I had everywhere. Now that I am getting ready for a class next weekend I figured out why I had so many partially used rolls of double stick tape and foam tape. D'oh! One for every make 'n take box. I can't believe I forgot their purpose and does that mean I didn't do classes all year? No, I did them.... it means I did classes but didn't realize why I had many adhesives.
