WOYWW #134

Here we are, the last WOYWW for 2011!!!  I'd like to say a special thank you to Julia, who makes all this possible.  I first found WOYWW quite by accident several months ago and only started joining in this month.  I peeked in on many a desk,  always drooling at the talent and the work spaces! Go on over to Stamping Ground  and you can visit as many as  you like.  Crafters open up their work desks for the world to see.
I have a new toy - I bought a Cuttlebug!  I haven't gotten it out of the box yet but plan to this week.  I  also bought a Tim Holtz die and a few embossing plates.  Luckily I'm off this week to play!!!

I'm still playing with acrylic paints.
I started making another project from the 12 Artsy Ornaments e-course.  It's a wreath wrapped in burlap and then you add balls wrapped in yarn, lace, old book print, etc.  Here's the beginning of my wreath.  I wrapped a ball in yarn and glued it onto the wreath.  I need to make some of the fabric flowers.  I found a piece of old lace and cut it into 1 inch strips and covered a ball.  Not sure if I like it so I haven't glued it on yet.
Here's a little doodle I did on one of the 2 x 3 canvas.  Too cute!
Daisy supervising, er, I mean, watching
Thanks for visiting.  I'm hoping to have my wreath done and try out my Cuttlebug since I'm off from work all this week.

Fab desk, you would have to rip off a couple of layers to make them a bit thinner they are too thick, and wet them to get the best embossing result, I don't mean dripping wet I mean moist. Happy new year

Oh welcome to the die cutting side...now you have to find two very big storage areas for dies and folders...and you have to make a pact with yourself every now and then to make something without a die or a folder!!! Have fun!

Oh your wreath looks so very interesting. I do hope you show us the finished project! Thanks for the peek of your task master Daisy too! My best for 2012!

I can't wait to see the finished wreath as I can't even fathom what it is to be like. Have lots of fun with your Cuttlebug! I hemmed and hawed over getting one for a long time and then was so pleased when I did. I find myself doing dies more than embossed background, but I think that is because I'm a HUGE patterned paper fan.

It is true, no matter how many dies/folders you have, there is always another one you 'must have', lol. You might like my newest post about using long Tim dies without the expense of extended plates too-I hope you had a great Christmas, and have a very Happy New Year, love Shaz xx

Hello Doodle Girl, I hope you love your Cuttlebug as much as I love mine - I get excellent results from both the embossing folders and the dies I've acquired, hopefully you will too. Your desk suggests that you have loads of projects on the go and I look forward to seeing the results over the coming weeks. Elizabeth x #65

I love your supervisor. I hope Daisy has read up all the things you need to learn about your new Bug. You will have a wonderful time experimenting with all it can do, and there are lots of people out there who will give you the benefit of their tips ans tricks. Have a wonderful 2012, full of good health, happiness and fun. Maggie #49
