Old Family Photos

Hi all.  I've been doing a bit of scanning of family photos.  I've really enjoyed looking through my sewing box full of photos.
My Grandma and Grandpa Wilson and my Mom
This photo was probably taken at Calaveras Big Trees State Park in California.  The trees are huge!  For more information visit their website HERE.
Grandpa Wilson with his Catch of the Day
Grandma and Grandpa Wilson had nine children; my mom being the baby.  We would always go over to my Grandparents house for these wonderful meals.  Usually it's catfish fish fries.  The table was covered with all kinds of yummy food!  My Grandma Wilson was one of the BEST cooks around.  Her pies were heavenly.  It was a talent my Mom also had.

Me looking at Grandma Wilson's knick knack cabinet
I guess I came by collecting things quite honestly.  The date on the photo is May 1962 - let's see, that would make me around three years old.

What about you?  Do you have some favorite photos from the past?  What do you do with them?

Peace,
Kay

Hi Kay, love your old photographs - truly a glimpse into another life. Now that you've scanned them what do you plan to do with them, I wonder.

You are the person next to me in the WOYWW list and we should arrange for me to send you an ATC. I did send you an email on Wednesday but perhaps I got the wrong email address. I would be grateful if you could email on

ellie.worthington@sky.com

with your postal details so I can get the ATC off to as soon as possible.

Hugs
Elizabeth xx

Oh my goodness . . . I just want to squeeze those little cheeks of yours. You are adorable and have a beautiful smile. I'll just bet you stole the heart of everyone that met you. Great photos!!!
Your blogging sister, Connie:)

I had this thought when you put old family photos on your post. Wouldn't it be something, if one of your close blogging friends posted old family photos and you recognized someone from your family. Like finding out you where cousins or second cousins . . . I can see it easily happening as this world gets smaller and smaller, with the internet :)

Hi Kay! Your pictures are wonderful. They remind me of times visiting my only Grandma in upstate New York. The pictures never made it to me but yours sure made me smile. I could almost smell my Grandma's house when I looked at the picture of you by the knick-knacks. And we are so close in age. Thanks for sharing a bit of your childhood memories. It sure brought back some good memories for me...especially my Grandma's Apple Pie! Have a great night! :)
