Native American Pottery

I met my dad and Mary at the Buffalo Thunder Resort/Casino for dinner.  While I was waiting I whipped out my camera and got these great photos of some of the native american pottery.  Usually I don't pay attention to the pottery (we see it everywhere), but with a new eye, I was amazed.  I kept thinking of possible doodle patterns.
What about you?  What do you see all the time, but then suddenly, you see it through a different set of eyes?  How does that inspire what you do?

Peace,

Kay

Hi Kay. Missing you on WOYWW so popped by to say hi. Love the pottery. How can you not have 'seen' it before....it's gorgeous. Think we just take some things for granted. Will be watching how you use your new design ideas :-)
Hugs,

Hi Kay! I know what you mean about seeing something so common but with different eyes. I would have to say around here it would be the old, old oak trees. They are everywhere! I took my dog out the other morning and it had been raining which doesn't normally happen here this time of year. The colors of the trees, the moss, the leaves, everything looked alive. It was so cool! Thanks for sharing some wonderful pictures and a great question. Hugs, Rasz

Good Question. Problem is I "see" patterns all the time. I am so inspired by everything around me that it becomes overwhelming. Lately I have been enchanted by tire treads. Had the "opportunity" to sit an hour while waiting for my car being serviced....so I wandered over to the tires and took a gazzillion photos.

Your right, they look like doodles before they got the fancy zentangle name. Except for the buffalo, lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥

Well, Happy Belated Birthday! You should have told me! Loved the pottery pictures, and you are so right...those designs must have been the original zentangle designs. How clever of your eye to pick up on that. I've gotten as far as buying Book 1 of simple designs. Not done a thing with it yet! These were lovely pots, and gorgeous buffalo sculpture too. Hope all things you had in the works are going ok for you as well. TFS & many Hugs too. Talk atcha later.

Hi Kay, These are beautiful! Connie and I are into pottery. You live in such a rich artist community, there must be a lot of places to go for weekend drives.

Hey, come on over and see my launch day photos. Gypsy Rose is in the water, at last!

I can see how those pottery pieces would inspire a Zentangle type piece!
