I'd like to welcome my newest followers. I always wondered how people
knew the names of their latest followers - and then I found out.... you
just click on the photo! Now, how simple is that!! I feel as though I
should list each and every one of you but that would be a post in
itself. So, a special shout out to several of my newest followers: Marion, Lisa, Lucy,
Terry, Neesie, Rexann, Minxy, Daniella, Belinda, April and Toni. Thank
you for becoming part of my blog family!!!!!
Can you believe it's the middle of October - already! Today is the day to do some blog hopping, starting at Julia's over at Stamping Ground.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, get ready. You're in for
some fun. If you've arrived here from Julia's you know what this is all
about. If not, click on the red text above. Desks from around the world are revealed - along with
some wonderful creative projects!
My desk - well, no real projects on it at the moment. I put some of my knitting on my semi-clean workdesk so I can get busy and start pricing items. I have a feeling that I'll have to do a dry-run booth set up in my living room before the Craft Fair, which is November 3. If you'll be in the Los Alamos area it is being held at the Crossroads Bible Church. I'm unsure of the hours (maybe 9:00ish to something-er-other). Yep, need to be more detail oriented.......
Neck wrap, coasters, spa cloths |
See those round things - they're bracelets. I'm going to post a tutorial on how I make them (hopefully this weekend). You are going to be surprised by the materials......
Business card bowl |
As always, I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me. After that then I'll visit as many others as I can. But be warned, it may not be until Friday that I get to make the rounds!
Peace,
Kay

What a fab idea for the business card bowl. Good luck with the sale although judging byk your desk and what is on it you don't really need any luck - it should go great.

I hope the show is busy with shoppers and you sell lots of your wonderful wares. I think that is a good date for the show. I like to go to the craft fairs in early November and it always seems that people are buying!!! Their minds are on Xmas presents!

Oooh the craft fair sounds fun and I am now intrigued about the materials used in the bracelets! Like the idea for the business cards - isnt pinterest fab! however I spend hours pinning now and dont have enough time to craft with all the wonderful inspiration it provides! oh well. Thanks for sharing - Sunshine Girl no. 57
Sounds like the craft fair is keeping you busy and out of trouble. Productive too. Love the new bowl you made for the business cards. I think I am going to go junk store and second hand store hopping this week. Maybe I will even hit a few garage sales. Love to do that! Wish I could make it to Los Alamos but it would be quite a drive from here. Have a great week. Vickie #71
Good morning; just thought I'd pop my head round the door and say Hi. Looks like your knitting needles have been working overtime. Hope you have a lovely week.

Hi kay, I like the look of all your goodies for the craft stand, love the new bowl and your business cards too. I have just joined Pinterest but cannot for the life of me figure out what to do!! Hope the craft fair goes well and that you sell everything. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #41
Hi Kay, Holy Moly indeed - the days are just slipping and sliding away! Those knitting needles of yours have been working overtime judging by the piles I see on your desk. And your business card bowl is a repurposing triumph - I'll be checking out that link. Love the photos of the wild horses in the previous post too. Good luck with your prep for the craft stand and here's wishing you a great week and a happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #40
You have been a busy crafter. Love the little business cards what a clever idea.

Cute idea for the cards! A few people has them at the WOYWW crop (and that was AWESOME LOL!) but not me. Really must sort that out one day :)

Well that is two clever things on your desk this week Kay, knitted bracelets and the cake stand - how clever is that. Love them all. I also like the wording on your business cards - certainly put a smile on my face.

My son has just taken up crochet so our house is now filled with crochet squares, I think they look fab on Any desk, and yours is looking suitably colourful and warm!

Great idea for the business card bowl Kay. I have a particular fondness for old china at the moment. I bought a very cute teacup and saucer on a metal rod that makes a whimsical bird feeder recently. It is amazing what you can do with a bit of imagination and strong glue!! Have a great week WOYWW Hugs from Helen 77
Looking at my desk and seeing I have my tea mug sitting on a knitted face cloth I just thought that I should make some coasters..... and then I clicked on your blog and what do you have?? Coasters!!! Love the little bowl with your cards in, great idea. Definitely try socks, they're great fun.

Hello, my first time doing the rounds at WOYWW! Think it might take me all week :-) I'll be checking back for your tutorial x Chloe 75
Kay thanks for the shout out and thanks for stopping by my desk. You busted me..yup I post early so that I can have time to visit a few desks so I guess I am really a WOYWT hee hee. I feel like I get more visitors if post early and heck it isn't fun if noone visits my desk right?
Love all your products. I zoomed right into the bracelets. I will have to check the link. Oh wow, the business card bowl you made is really pretty. Nice touch.
Well I better get a move on. You have a great week and I will see you next week.
Belinda (17ish)
Great knitting. Like the bowl idea.
Famfa (12)
Great projects. I like your business cards too. Well, I wonder what the bracelets are made of??!!

Can't wait to see your bracelet tutorial! Oh, how I love seeing a desk full of knitting--it warms my heart! I need to make some spa cloths too. Now, I want you to know, I'm a simple knitter too. That's why the butterfly scarf amazes me--it's just knitting the garter stitch over and over. The only trick is, you do some short rows--just turning it back around. It's the easiest thing, and it looks really complicated! (that's why I always show it, so everyone will think I'm a fancy knitter) Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #11
The business card bowl looks great. Don't forget that a little bowl of free candy is a nice draw to your table. Hope you sell everything! :-)
Happy Woyww,

It does take quite a bit of time to prepare stuff for sale - I'm alwys very last minute, and end up having great ideas, but not enough time to finish them!
I love your business card bowl! Neat idea!Tamika #124
Hope you have a very successful craft event.
Hi there!
Great things for the craft fair - hope you do really well! I find that I can never predict what's going to sell, it's always surprising!
I have to 'fess up about the lyrics, I googled them because I wanted something special about Friendship and up that popped. It's by a band called No Secrets, I think..but the words were just awesome and fitted the bill perfectly :)
Hugs, LLJ 56 xx
Good luck with the fair, you have some fabulous things there.
Have a great week.

I love craft fairs I really do, I just always end up going oh I could make that, oh I could do that and then I end up going to the craft store to buy supplies. I really must stop doing that and support my local crafters!!!
Angie #114
holy moly is right ! fall is in full swing . love the soft colors you are working with on your intersting work area there. Mine is much messier and I always seem to get paint on my cheek or eyebrow. my son, Ryan is always laughing at that about his old crazy mum.
Come on ovember we will be ready for you !

Those bracelets are ADORABLE, I would very much appreciate a tutorial!

Have a grand weekend.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Lovely projects - thanks for sharing. Hope the sales go well. :)
Thanks for your comment on my blog - I don't have a lot of space in my craft room either but the really fun thing about digi stamps, as well as the storage issue, is that it's instant gratification stash shopping! :D

Lovely things - especially those kitted bracelets.
Back in January, you showed an interest in following along with my Christmas organisation posts. Well, look out tomorrow for the first of my Christmas Plan-along posts, C-Day minus 10 weeks at http://handmadebykirsty.blogspot.com
Hi Joy
You sound really busy with your preparations - I hope you get everything done for your fair in time - I bet you have to be super organised. Great idea doing a dry run!
Beautiful pictures of the horses on your blog (earlier post) - beautiful creatures.
