WOYWW 170 - Oh where oh where.....

is my desk?  Hmm, I know it's there somewhere otherwise everything would be on the floor!  Oh my, I knew it was going to be bad, but really?  THIS bad?  Here's the rundown:
My acrylic paints, which are now stored upside down.  Birdhouses that I've been painting but I don't like them -- stay tuned for a transformation.  My cuttlebug from last week, pens and brushes, a few specialty papers and a scarf I started knitting (don't you love mohair?).

So, you may be wondering why I would show off such a messy place.  It's WOYWW where desks around the world are fully exposed, for all to see.  This happy blog hop starts at Julia's blog Stamping Ground.

As always, I'll visit those that end in the same number as me and those that leave a comment (please leave your number).  I will try my best to do it but it may be tricky this week.

Peace,
Kay

Hi Kay, I like your birdhouses, they are very colourful, why would you ever change them! You planning on having a cold winter this year with your very fluffy scarf? Looks amazing so far. Michelle x #12

When ever we go to the USA I always buy thos little bird houses, they are so much cheaper over theere, and far cuter than any thing over here. Your desk is looking very pink and blue this week.

Golly Kay, I can't find a cuttlebug anywhere. Maybe I don't know what I'm looking for. But I do like how you stored your paint. I know you said you planned to do it that way.

I appreciate the visit earlier. Do I need to mention I'm number 1 this week?

Kay I am enjoying the vibrant colors shining from your desk. I happen to like the birdhouses but will stay tuned for their transformation.

I just dusted off my cuttlebug too and found an old die I forgot I had and a crankin' I went cutting tags.

Thanks for sharing.

At least your stuff looks like it is in a single layer - unlike some of us who admit nothing!

Oh dear, I could be right at home on your desk! Mine looks even worse! What I have to do, is slide everything out-the-way, with an arm, to have a small space to work. I'm too embarrassed to enter at the WOYWW. Will it ever get better? Debatable! TFS and making me feel like I am not the only one with a messy workspace. And YOU are getting things done, whereas I...well, I'll stop now! Have a great day.

Oh my goodness, I ran out of breath just reading the list of things you have managed to get on there. So I guess you actually work on the floor (he he).
There is certainly a lot of glorious colour there and those birdhouses look fantastic.
Have a great week.

WOW busy desk! I think the birdhouses look good but if you aren't satisfied with the colors then do them over! I spotted the cuttle bug but barely. Making a trip next weekend to Missouri to visit a crafting friend with the DD! so might be a few weeks till I get to the mouse trap! I am excited tho!! Vickie #66

I too store my paints upside down, in fact there is so much of my stuff that is upside down (including my desk lol). Nice to see your knitting but is mohair not itchy? Love the colour of it.
How's your weather over there, we are having what they describe as an Indian Summer, it's a lovely ay today, not hot but I believe further down the country it is. Ah dwell, I live in the wet NW.
Thanks for the share - Hugs Neet 84 this week xx

Morning Kay - I was thinking the other day I should re organised my paint stash. This is a great idea so you can see the colour of the paint more easily. Hmm how many leaks would I get though I wonder!! Your bird houses are cute but I am wondering if they are going to be in the shades of the pastel box of paint I see before me? Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 22

Hi,,, sorry but that is NOT untidy!! No way... you have visited me so you know, tee hee... anyway about that crackle, Take your card or whatever and paint over generously but unevenly with the pva glue. This makes the crackles more realistic and uneven. Before it dries, paint over in straight strokes with your acrylic paint and see the crackles. Try it on some scrap before you do your project, to get the right amount of glue etc... hope that helps

Finally, a nice messy desk. But very busy, which is always good! You have a long way to go to achieve the mess I work in, but maybe next week I'll be tidier. HA. Who am I kidding?

Isn't it weird how it always looks worde in photo's. They say a photo adds 10kg to a person, maybe its the same with desks, it adds more stash??? I hope so.

I see I'm in good company today! I kind of like how the little birdhouses are coming along, but I know how it is. If it doesn't make --you-- happy then it ain't gonna happen. Go ahead and make you happy!

And have some vodka.

And I do like mohair. It is so soft, but I can't be trusted with it.

hmmm...there seems to be a lot of organized goodies all on your desk at once! I seem to have that same problem!

Belinda Basson said...

It always looks worse before it gets better when you are busy or organising...looking at your previous WOYWW post: did you use the carrier tray to hold the dies in? If not then the metal of the die which goes right through will imprint on your bottom plate. You get a special empty tray to cut your movers and shapers in. It is the same price as a die, but worth it for keeping your plates safe if you are like me (and you seem to be on this issue) and like to keep your one plate uncut.

Haha! I feel the same way sometimes...I KNOW I have a desk somewhere, but it's been so long since I've seen it under the pile of crafty goodness, I can't quite remember what it looks like!!
