Cycles of Life

Hello all my lovely peeps!  Things have changed for me the last couple of months.  I had to postpone my Hawaii cruise due to health reasons.  Actually, it's just one part of my body that is just giving out.  My left knee.  I've been bone on bone for a while now and I've recently fallen at work a couple of times.  I swear my knee had a bulls eye on it and it was a direct hit.

I've been busy visiting Doctors, making phone calls, and finding some great friends for help.  My surgery is scheduled June 8 and I honestly can't wait.  Yes, I know the pain I will have to endure and the physical therapy that is required.  Believe me, it will be worth it once I come out on the other side!  I'm looking forward to walking like a normal person and hopefully getting some much needed exercise.  When I first bought my condo I walked everywhere - Starbucks, the library, the movie theater, etc.  I'm looking forward to the day I can do that again.

In the meantime, I've lined up the Visiting Nurses that will come to my home for physical therapy and to check on my progress.  A friend of mine will be staying with me the first week I get home so I won't be by myself.  Yep, things are falling into place.

As for the cruise, we've re-scheduled for the end of November.  By that time I should be half way to being fully recovered.

I hope things are going well for each of you.  I've missed blogging - and visiting blogs - for a few weeks now.  Life does go in cycles, doesn't it?

Peace,
Kay

You'll be like the bionic woman after the op! It'll make such a difference in the long run, I'm glad you're having it done :-)

Kay, I'm thinking of you as you go forward in this adventure. Just look at it that way and you will do so much better. A good attitude is key. Also know that women do much better with this surgery and therapy. I think we are just stronger!

Bless your heart, Kay. I had no idea, but now that I do, I will be adding you to my prayers. My brother-in-law had a knee replacement in December and is going in to have the other knee done next week. He says that his new knee feel wonderful. He was in some pain at first, but the trick is to make yourself work it.
Your cruise sounds wonderful. Do you have a big enough trunk to sneak me aboard, LOL.
Wishing you the very best.
