First Fire of 2014

Yep, it's that time of year.  The temperature has dropped and the doggies are happy snoozing in the house.  As for me, I was cuddled up next to this!
I just love putting some logs on the fire and watching the flames.  I have a screen that goes in front of the fireplace but I moved it to get a better photo.

All I need now is more wood!

Yay! I came out hoping to see the fire! I love the adobe cut out for the fireplace. I miss that style so much. Fires seem to make my bones feel better, well my entire mood better so thank you for the photo! Hugs, Robin

Hi Kay looks lovely. We have a woodburner and have already had couple of fires. So cosy. X

As I have gotten older carrying logs in and ashes out was getting to be too much for me. I had gas logs (non-vented) put in my fireplace. I love them; they give off good heat and no mess. Such is life!

That looks lovely and inviting. Nothing like a good old fashioned fire.
Have missed you on WOYWW so thought I would look you up to make sure you were ok. So glad you are just snuggling up with the pets.
