AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH

Ahoy all ye maties!  It's Talk Like a Pirate Day.  My favorite pirate in recent years has been Captain Jack Sparrow.  Well, I'm in love with Johnny Depp anyway but there's something about his pirateness (haa) that really gets my sails going!
I love how he took over Jack Sparrow and made him his own!  Get ye scurvy pirate on and talk like a pirate!

Have a great shore leave.  In other words, have a great weekend!

Peace,
Kay

One of my favourite sayings :-). Have a treasure of a day, ye scurvy wench. May your galleons never tarnish and your rum never diminish!

He is quite a handsome pirate. I really like him in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and in "Benny and Joon" too.

Hey Kay, Cute post. (but I can't say that I'm a Johnny Depp fan though! I've never seen those movies, but DH has). Enjoyed reading your matey post too. Have a good week. Thanks for your visit & sweet comment. Hugs

This is too funny. I had forgotten all about it (Talk Like A Pirate Day), since so many people seem to remember it.

Had to stop by and have a look around, too. Loved the architecture posts, and really enjoyed seeing the alien sign, even if it was a bit rough around the edges. I also enjoyed reading about you and your art. Fun time catching up.

Actually stopped by to thank you for your comment today and explain about the mists and fixative. First, the fixative was for the printer ink. My printer ink isn't waterproof, and we all know how much water the mists add to the piece. MY mists ARE waterproof and permanent. I have the recipe on my blog, but basically it's shimmer powder that has no fixative in it, Elmer's Glue All (not school glue), and DISTILLED water. Use only distilled unless you are using the entire container that day. Otherwise, you'll get mold. See my tutorials page for the how to. Sorry, I'm not linked to my blog right now, or I'd leave the direct link.
