WOYWW 245

Happy WOYWW!  Please join Julia at Stamping Ground.  It's where we gather to show our desks and current projects.  There are so many talented people that join in.  I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I am still moving my stash around.  I'm slowly moving things from my storage unit back to the house.  I'm having fun but usually this means that I re-evaluate where I've put things.  Most of the drawers in the dresser are full and I'm happy with how my closet is looking.

I made a card!  I used the SU hollyhocks roller as the base.  They are one of my favorite flowers and I'm hoping to have some in my yard this year.  On my desk are my slowly growing collection of hankies.  I need to get my sewing machine from my storage unit so I can start on a project involving them.  My Don't Forget to Breathe sign is there (I'm really needing that right now), my laptop, some paint strips and a children's book.

My apologies for being MIA for so long.  I keep thinking I'll get better (as I have lots of post ideas) but just don't make the time.  Note to self --- make the time!

As always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and also those that leave a comment (please leave your number).

Peace,
Kay

I too love Hollyhocks- the trouble with them is the Rust disease they get, they always end up looking so messy. I'm hoping to try to find a disease resistant one in a seed catalogue. Finding time is a nightmare, i agree. If I only had an extra 5 hours a day, and two extra days at weekends, I'd be sorted, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz # 43 xx

I think that evaluating what stuff you have is a good thing to do occasionally. Apart from getting rid of surplus, I like rearranging what I've got and its amazing what you rediscover too!!
What are you going to do with the hankies then? I'm intrigued!!
Hugs, LLJ 39 xx

Thanks Kay.Good luck with the moving. At least you'll know what you have. It's amazing how quickly we forget what's there lurking.
My hollyhock seedlings perished in our heat wave.I determined to grow some though!!

hi Kay love the hollyhocks stamp too. I had one in my garden one year that was about 10 feet tall it reached up to the first floor window. Funny to think you need a sign to remind you to breath ... but I know what you mean, you can get very carried away when 'in the zone'
have a good week

Stopping in for a quick visit....love the card. What will you make with the hankies? Not worry you're not the only who's been MIA for a bit. Hope to get to WOYWW-ing next week. Hugs

Glad to reconnect, since I have been lax in visiting. Your card is lovely. You make it look easy, but I know it isn't. BTW, I tried growing hollyhocks. They don't grow in my yard, but my neighbor had some lovely ones. She said they only bloomed every two years, but I have no idea since they never came up again. Hope you have better luck.

Thanks for visiting me yesterday. Happy day after WOYWW from #1.

Hey! Good to see you back in action. Why are your things in a storage unit? It definitely is a good idea to evaluated each piece and decide if it really needs to be a part of your life or not. It can be so freeing. I like your special spring card. Those SU rollers make me crazy--can't get them to work right. You did good with it though. Judy #82ish

Hi Kay glad your making some time to play. I love sorting through my stash and finding forgotten stuff have fun finding treasures. Your card is wonderful hollyhock Is. such a beautiful flower
When I dismount my stamps if they don't stick to my acrylic blocks I just use a little double sided tape and that works like a charm, I've also used the re-tack glue on it makes it sticky and I can move them around but double sided tape is my fave it does come off but it cleans up easy.
Have a great day and take some you time hugs Nikki

Your card is gorgeous...You are obviously rediscovering lots of goodies..it is so much fun. Thanks for visiting...Sorry, On and Off glue should be OFF'N'ON glue will work perfectly with your acrylic blocks, depending on how often you use the stamp, you may have to reapply another coat to the stamp. A basting spray should work just as well...Happy crafting DeDe #98

Hello Kay, thanks for stopping by my nest and you are never late for WOYWW, some time it take me till Sun. to finish up, ( okay I might be slow). I had a great snoop around, back to last Sept. :O), I love your door photos, love doors, gorgeous place you live in. Your scarf is fantastic, I can't knit a stitch, I looooove that wool, must get some for my art, I have a few for it. I watch a bit of the video, koodoos to you for knitting that wool, I would be lost LOL. Okay that hollyhocks roller is FANTASTIC, then colored beautifully, love how you did it on torn paper, gorgeous card, I know once your all organized you feel wonderful and ready to do anything.I'm excited to see what you do with those hanks, I have a load of them, I want to make some little dresses with mine, I've so enjoyed my visit learning all sorts of new things, hope you have a wonderful weekend, Dianne #70

Love the Hollyhocks. And love the way you go through everyone's spaces. I used to try and go through them all even if it took me all week but then I just quit. I too have been bad and MIA for some time. We have to make the time for ourselves to do the things we enjoy. We are only given so much time and we need to learn to enjoy it more. Thanks for stopping by my space. My meeting went very well with the bride to be today. We have the invites nailed down and I got a chance to meet the groom also. Until next week when we both post again. Blessings - The Determined Scrapper

Hi Kay, all the cards have different prices.
I didn't see an email you button on your blog. ( but, it's late and I worked on taxes all day so eyes are tired)

Hi Kay, I hope your comments go into your inbox so you see this since I'm stopping at this post. I'm sorry that I have been a bad bloggie friend and not been by for a while. I've certainly enjoyed making up for it now with visits to your older posts.

I loved the old photos you shared and how fabulous the renovation is coming on your outdoor art, as well as all the Friday smiles!

But why I stopped here is because of the card, of course! I love it! I remember playing with hollyhock "dolls" as a little girl. I wish you had time to do more cards and post them for all of us to see!

You asked about the rain. We are so, so happy to have it and there is no flooding in the Bay Area itself. Southern CA got hit bad and to the north of us there are areas that always flood year after year. I just wish we could get more here!

Good luck with the continued shifting and reorganizing, if you are still working on it. I swear I love doing that more than I love making cards!! Hugs, Darnell
