WOYWW 225 - Progress Made!

Hello peeps!  Welcome to WOYWW (What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday).  For those of you that don't know about WOYWW it's the brainchild of Julia at Stamping Ground.  Thanks to her we get to visit desks from all over the world.  People share what they are working on and what their desks look like.

I made some progress in organizing my supplies.  I put in another one of the cd shelving units.  They are perfect for this closet; they are narrower than regular bookshelves.

Here's the before photo:
I've made some progress.  I'm taking my time and not just throwing things back in.
As a bonus, here's the living room (staging area).
As always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and those that visit me.  I think I was successful in doing this last week; if I missed you, I'm sorry.  It may not be until the weekend before I get around to you but I promise I will!

Peace,
Kay

Hi there Kay! So who's been a busy bee tidying up and organising huh? Looks super - and so much more inspiring for you to be able to see all those goodies laid out just waiting to be played with.

Happy WOYWW my friend!

The new shelves are looking really good. I like a bit of organisation in my workspace, as long as there is still space on the table to make a mess! Kate x #57

What a make-over! That truly is one heck of a difference and I am sure you will enjoy the benefits of it. Mind you, as a crafter how long it lasts is the test of time. Mine is a "tip" again and needs a serious tidy up.

Love your organising. I have a blitz on my cupboards once in a while, but it's always a mess again days later lol.

Oh always fun to organize, then to try to remember where it is once again. Labeling saved me! Great fallish weather, birds flying south, so have to enjoy the outdoors before the winter sets in. Hate giving up my outdoor walking. Enjoy the week Happy WOYWW

Everyone seems to be organising this week. Love your new storage, Kay. I find narrow bookcases and CD storage work brilliantly when space is tight too. It's amazing what you can get in them isn't it?

CD racks in place of regular book shelves is a great idea for a small space! I love seeing how things come together like this, how sad is that! I actually enjoy cleaning up and rearranging too, lol! No champagne in the OJ for me, those little decorations I'm making required sharp scissors and a scalpel/craft knife, so not a good mix, lol!

I love those CD shelves and worry that Ipods and the like will make them obsolete! They are good for paperback books too, you know, my first love was way too many books. I think you are doing the right thing by taking it slow and steady with your reorganization. I think you'll be happier in the end. I love your staging area and that you called it a staging area and not a disaster area. ;-)

Hello there, Whimsygirl! Thank you so much for stopping by earlier. I've been so busy today that my return visit is rather late. I love how you're organizing your stash and taking things steadily sounds like such a good idea! OK, a diptych is a decorative plaque or picture in two, often hinged parts; a triptych is one divided into three. Hope that makes sense. Lovely that you visited. I'll try to visit earlier next week! Hope you had a creative and happy Wednesday! Julie Ann xx #35

HI Kay! The organization is going well. I agree. There is no point to just 'throwing it back'. Take your time, put it where you want it and in the end, you'll be happier with the result. I love the little chipboard suitcase of misc. I just wanted to paw through it for treasures ;-)

Hi Kay, Looking Good! Everything is so pretty when it is setting there organized and ready when needed. Right now my studio is a mess. I've done about three projects without cleaning up after, so before I do anything else I have to get in a put everything back in its place. Three projects is the most that I can go before going crazy. When your space is small, it has to be organized, right. I love that you are taking your time and doing it right. I have a few things that I've just stashed in a drawer, or shelf . . . if I knew I could find them, LOL.
Have a great weekend.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)

Hi Kay
I thought I would pop back and says thanks for the nice comment and explain the whole zebra crossing thing. It obviously doesn't translate across the pond. Over here a zebra crossing is a pedestrian road crossing.... It has black and white stripes across the road and cars have to stop and allow pedestrians to cross.... Several cars were quite surprised to be stopping for a bride and her entourage hehe. Have you ever seen the Beatles Abby road album cover..... It's just like that
