WOYWW - 149 - Holy Moly!

Holy Moly  It's Wednesday and that means it's one of the most  exciting days to surf blogs.  If you don't know what I'm talking about go on over to Stamping Ground where it all begins, thanks to our leader, the fabulous and amazing Julia!

I am finally done with one of my baby blankets.
This blanket is knitted using seed stitch.
As for the desk - what can I say?  It's a mess.  I've been going through my craft closets and am not putting anything back until I decide it stays.
Canvas, Mod Podge, what do you think that brown thing is?
It's a huge toilet paper roll (for circles), acrylic paint
Thank you ALL for your lovely support and well wishes.   I still get teary eyed thinking about my little Daisy dog.   Bless her soul.  The other day Katie (my other dog) was out in the backyard laying in the exact same spot where I found Daisy paralyzed.  It made my heart skip a beat.

I plan to visit desks that end in the same number as me.   I will also visit everyone who visits me (it helps when you leave your number!!).   After that I'll visit  as many as I can.  Although with my work schedule it may not be until the weekend.

Thanks for visiting.

Peace,
Kay

You know, I only started getting into my drawing and painting about 5 months ago. Before that I didn't really have a place for it. I dug out some old watercolors from my kids homeschooling days and a bottle of Mod Podge that must have been 15 years old. It was still good! Your Mod Podge bottle reminded me of that. Anyone can start crafting and doing art with whatever they have.
Your desk reminds me of mine. And that's a good thing!
Happy WOYWWing!

I love that BIG circle. I've never seen one that big. It's the best way to organize. Put it back IF it's needed. Have a super WOYWW from # 9 this week!

I was wondering how you were doing (((hugs ))), glad to see you blogging again, I miss you! The baby blanket looks great, seed stitching sounds tiny, huh? waving hi from the hills of North Carolina #51

Hi Kay

I totally agree with your theory, leave it out and don't put it back if you ain't gonna keep it. I'm slowly ditching some stuff that truly I get no pleasure from using and it feels good!

Now, not being able to peek/comment from work is just plain mean :( Humph!

And bless you, Daisy will always live in your heart - I've been wondering how you are.

Hugs, Di xx

Seed stitch is quite an easy one to do, isn't it - but very effective! The blanket is really sweet, I like the wool you've used.
And it's perfectly fine for you to still miss your Daisy Dog - she was a big part of your life. Sending hugs....

Blanket looks lovely!! And the rest looks very creative. I think I should do the same with my stash, mind you it would probably take me a year...
I like your take on commenting... it's my first time at WOYWW and I thought I would get round to everyone, but I am starting to have me doubts....

Have a great week! #32

Love that blanket - what a gorgeous stitch.
Now Kay, why a toilet roll inner for the circles? And how come it is so huge?
Love the logic with your commenting - why did I not think of something like that?
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet #10 xx

I do like the see stitch very much..had no idea such a thing existed! And erm, the toilet roll - do you use the big old dispensers in your house then?! Oh my heart, I'm so sorry about Daisy, don't be surprised by being teary eyed...embrace..you miss her and you love her, the tears are proof. xx

Beautiful baby blanked and that would have to be the largest toilet roll. I am sure it makes perfect circles. Love the art canvas I did a couple of Christy's workshops and really enjoyed the process.

That's a messy desk?! You should see mine at times!
Love your blanket, wish I could do more than just knit the basics!
Doing the same as you this week, firstly visiting those that end in the same number then will visit everyone beacause I'm very nosey, but won't comment on them all. Tried to comment on everyone's previously and failed miserably! Have a great week Suzanne #96

Only time can heal your broken heart...but time will never take your memories. Hang in there girl and keep moving forward. Our little furry buddies are like children and when we lose one it hurts so much. I'm thinking of you! Great space this week. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your visit today, and for your lovely comment on my card. I certainly hope they will like it and recognise their narrow boat. Don't animals give you scary moments? I think Katie is just doing what all dogs do and re-establishing her position in a changed pack (household). Try not to worry too much about it. Have a good week. xx Maggie #2

Since so many feel compelled to comment on your toilet paper roll, I will too! We have those giant rolls at work. I used to ask for them for the gerbils as it took them a bit longer to chew up than with regular rolls. The pull it all out and don't put it back unless you are going to use is a good method if you have the room to pull it out. I'm not sure I even have that now. It is good to purge and tidy. It makes you use what you do have more. The seed stitch blanket is lovely-the stitches so nice and even!!! If I tried that it would look like drunken monkeys did it. I know it hurts about Daisy dog. She'll be with you in your heart always. Judy #143 (cuz I ain't getting up early).

I've read the other comments, so I know I'm not the only one, but I am surprised there aren't more questions about the toilet roll. I thought it was a joke; I mean, that sucker is HUGE! If I had that in my wee bathroom, I couldn't sit down! LOL! The little ones like to use the empty rolls for whatdyacallem? Pirate eye glasses? They could put their whole faces in your roll. Okay, okay, enough fascination about that! Good luck with the clean and purge. It always feels so wonderful when it's done. Love the baby blanket! #43

Hi Kay!! I have a very similar sytem to yours! This week I am 67 so a visiting every one ending in a 6 or a 7. I could never get round them all! You'll be pleased when you've done your 'purge' but it does take a while and for me at least there is always a moment of panic about whether it will all go back in!! Happy WOYWW Cindy no 67

Like your system for visiting, I think I will follow suit. The list is getting way too long to make it to everyone. Lol @ your 'old houses have character' comment. I am always saying that to Beloved Husband- now I just get a dirty look, lol, as it generally means that what started as a simple few hours job, has turned into a couple of weeks marathon! Shaz #94

That baby blanket looks snuggly, like the idea of the circle stamper :o)

The stamp on my desk that reminded you of the flowers you blow to make a wish, they're dandelions, not had a go with them yet, but planning on using them over another sunset background.

Sorry to hear about your little Daisy, I hope happy memories are bringing you some comfort. x

Your desk looks busy and productive, Kay, and your baby blanket is beautiful. I've got some cardboard tube like your mega-toilet roll and am not sure what to use it for - it's sitting under my desk atm!

So sad about poor little Daisy. For a while after such an event, there will be things that make your heart skip a beat but they will become less frequent, and eventually you can remember her with joy and not pain - every day I think of my 2 lovely kitties who were both killed on the road and now remember how lovely they were and how they enriched our lives, without that open-wound agony - I still mmiss them like crazy but I'm glad their brief passage through my life has left a lasting mark. My hubby encouraged me to make up a box, with photos, notes about their little foibles and ways - some people make an album and this really helps.

Thanks for your nice comment on my blog! Glad you like my zentangles.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Your blanket looks so lovely and cosy!
And your desk has so many goodies on there, it looks like you're gonna have fun with it while you decide whether or not to keep it all - if you're anything like me, I'd say you'll end up keeping it all! lol!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
and happy (belated) WOYWW!
