My First Art Journal Page

I've been concentrating on my word for 2012 - blossom
I finished my first art journal page
in a book I found at the used bookstore.
The book is "Return to Love" by Marianne Williamson.

I love spreading the gesso around with my fingers.
There's something so child-like and innocent about it.
What do you think?

Peace,
Kay

I'm glad you are keeping to your word, I forgot what mine was! lol, sheesh, that's so bad to admit! You need to take a picture of your broken frog statue and get everyone's opinion on what to do with him. If he hasn't spoken to you yet then we could help you! My angel head spoke to me within hours of getting her home, lol So glad you're going to link up to Project Pinterest, can't wait to see your project! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

I think you are off to a splendid start. Sometimes the thing I like best about scrapping is the simple act of using the scissors or coloring with markers or stamping with ink. Is Marianne Williamson the gal who does the books on prayer?

I like that word!! What a good one - it could mean so many things to different folk! As for gesso spreading, you're talking to the Mud Pie Queen here, both as a child and young mum. Nothing better then getting your fingers squidgy :)

Great first AJ page! I've only done one page and I did promise myself I'd be good this year and do more!
