Things of the Past

I've passed this place and finally  pulled over.
Every time I drive up to Colorado I just whiz on by - but not this time.

This place might be a museum of sorts -- next time I might knock on the door!

Peace,
Kay

WOYWW - Hail to the Queen

Hail to the Queen!  Last night I watched the Diamond Jubliee concert.   I've been using my Union Jack tote this week to help celebrate.
Thanks to pinterest for the images!

On to business - er, I mean, crafty business.  I have almost all my ATCs out in the mail (have just a few stragglers) and am starting to receive some.  I'll post photos next week.  I'm linking up with Julia over at Stamping Ground.  This is the greatest of all blog hops.  You'll get to peek in on creative desks all over the world.

Here's what's on my desk
Knitted bracelets on my angels wings
Knitted scarf in the background - more yarn, my colored pencils
Fabric that I recently bought
Love this fabric - but don't know what I'm going to do with it.  Any ideas?
I have an idea for this fabric..... don't you love these monkeys!
A close up on the scarf
I have a dilema.  I'll be in a Crafts Fair in November and I've been making things to sell.  I'm all over the place with what I've been doing.  If a craft booth has lots of different types of things would you be more inclined to stop and browse?  I really enjoy doing all kinds of crafting - but don't want one craft to be a distraction to another.  What do you think?

Thanks for visiting my desk!  As always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and also those that visit me.  Please add your number to your comment so I can easily find you.

Peace,
Kay

A Perspective in Black and White

This horse is a beautiful black and white paint.  He's huge!

Look what I found hiding in the weeds!
This is a miniature baby horse

Georgia O'Keefe's house

I took a drive to Abiquiu, New Mexico.  I risked life and limb (o.k. not really) to take some photos of Georgia O'Keefe's house.  I have toured the house and it's amazing - very simplistic.  The view from her bedroom is breathtaking! For information about the tour go to the Georgia O'Keefe house tour.
A view from the road - the white curtain is her bedroom window

The view from her bedroom (taken from the road that parallels her home.
Looking into the garden
When I toured the house I ate some fruit from one of her trees!
Sorry for the glare - there was glass over the poster
Lunch at Bode's - a little country store in Abiquiu
Yes, that's a green chili cheeseburger!!
I hope you enjoyed your little tour.
Abiquiu is a great little piece of heaven.

Peace,
Kay
