WOYWW 254 - Finished Feeder

Hello everyone.  Can you believe it's April already and here we are at week 254!  Holy moly guacamole (just throwin' in a bit of New Mexico charm).  If you want to hop on this train visit Julia's blog Stamping Ground.  It's a great way to visit near and far and see what others are working on.  Not only that, you'll see all kinds of supplies!!  Sometimes my mouth drools uncontrollably......

My "desk" is actually cleaned off.  I had to hide everything away as my dad came for a visit.  Now I'll be looking to see where I put everything!
I finally brought my sewing machine to the house.  Over the weekend I bought some fabric to make a blouse - wish me luck!

I finished the bird feeder.  We got rain/hail/snow over the weekend so I brought it inside and got out the acrylic paints.  I'm very happy with how it came out.  Now I'm looking around to see what else I can spray paint to add a bit of boho to my backyard!
Here's a close up.  The neighbors saw it and thought it looks better now than when it was new!

For those of you that are interested, I plan to post about Flat Susan's visit on Friday.

As always, I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.  And as usual, it may not be until the weekend that I get around.

Peace,
Kay

Opps, I guess I'm not including my number. I'm new. haha I like to see sewing desks. They are charming to me probably because I don't sew so it all seems magical and mysterious. The humming birds are gorgeous!

I love your refurbished bird feeder and can imagine it covered with the feathered variety. Good luck with the sewing, haven't made a blouse since I was in school - having to hand-sew 12 buttonholes put me off for life ha ha.

Oh I understand that...I often find things that have been 'put away' oddly - and then remember why! How lovely to see you planning to sew. The light in your room is lovely - and hey, you didn't show us the fabric! The bird feeder looks just divine Miss Kay..what the neighbour didn't actually say was that they'd like it back now!!

Blimey Kay, you don't do things by halves do you? A blouse must be one of the trickiest things to tackle!! Good luck anyway, let's see how you get on with it. Brave girl!!
And I LOVE that bird feeder, so in-your-face....it's fab!!

Just love the birdfeeder, Kay. Brilliant - I defy any bird to miss that offer of good food in the garden!
Hey - have fun with the sewing machine! Enjoy making the blouse. I got the go ahead from the bride to make the real dress - so it's now white fabric on Mabel the dress form...

Hi Kay. The bird feeder is so delightful - love it. I have to clear stuff away soon for when my sons and family come to spend a weekend helping celebrate DH's 70th birthday. We had to change the plans a little due to death of my son's F.I.L. and my wretched knee. Can't believe DH will be 70. Where did the years go? I was 16 when we met and he was 23 ( my parents were aghast at the age difference :-) ) Everyone said it wouldn't last but we proved em wrong!!!! Hope the blouse works out - I'm sure it will you're so talented . Happy Easter Anne x #51

I didn't do WOYWW this week as it looks the same as last and no time to visit folks. I'm glad I stopped by to see the final finished bird feeder. It is looking very good! I hope the birds enjoy it as well.

I just LOVE your bird feeder!!! WOW! And I bet you'll do fine on your blouse. My card kits are for my May Flowers class and the cards were posted over a month ago. I guess I should have posted the links to those posts. Anyway, thanks for popping by. I'm not getting any visiting done due to brother being here and we're making decisions on my mom's health options. Happy belated WOYWW and Happy Easter!

Your feeder turned out so well. I love those bright colors & bet the birds will be attracted to it as well. Good luck on the blouse too. Been so long since I sewed anything, I probably don't remember how to thread the machine! Glad you had a nice visit with your Dad, and I hear you on the cleanup fast, then don't remember where you stashed the stuff out of sight. Hope things are moving along as hoped, and certainly wish you a big Happy Easter. Hugs & TFS
