WOYWW - Arts and Crafts Fair

UPDATE -- I think I fixed the photo issue.  Double drats.....

I've missed the last two WOYWW and really missed you all.  I'm glad to be joining this week.  This is the biggest and best blog hop.  It all starts at Julia's at Stamping Ground.  Rather than post my desk, which is rather boring, I thought I'd share some photos of my booth at the Arts and Craft Fair.

I sold one of my She Art canvases, some of my cards (both stamped and photos) and my knitted dish/face cloths.  I did not sell one scarf or cowl!  It was a warm day so maybe that didn't help people think of winter weather.  I sold some of the necklaces and my painted clothes pins!  I can't tell you how much I enjoy painting those silly things!

Can you believe that this table cloth is crocheted?  And I found it at the local thrift store!  What an absolute beautiful find.

The day started with me sleeping through my alarm and waking at 8:00 a.m.  The craft fair started at 9:00 a.m.!  Holy moly.  I'm so glad that my friend, Lisa, had offered to help me set up.  If it weren't for her I would have had a MAJOR problem!  I was given a corner booth (after being told that I wouldn't get one) so I didn't bring my second table.  Luckily Lisa ran to my storage unit and picked it up!  On that table I displayed my She Art canvases, my little necklaces and my stamped cards.

I took these photos with my phone as I forgot my camera as I was running out the door.  Luckily I figured out how to download them onto my computer!  Yay!!

As always, I'll visit those that end in the same number as me and those that visit me and leave a comment.  Please leave your number as it really helps me find you!

Peace,
Kay

Hi, since the pics were taken with a phone when you transmit them to your computer they may not have been saved as JPEG files. See if you can go to your pic file and rename with the " .jpg" extension. Then reload to the blog. That happened to me once. Your booth sounds like it was full of beautiful things! Happy WOYWW! Your stall looks really inviting - it is hard to get enough products on the table to sell without it looking crammed. Yours looked lovely and that tablecloth is astonishing! Clever you for finding it in the thrift store :)

You are making me nervous for my craft fair on Saturday! I'm always up way too early and arrive before the organisers!

It's fun doing them, isn't it? Even if you don't sell all that you'd wish to.
My table cloth is a massive damask cloth I picked up in an antiques shop. It was a real bargain as my mum paid as I'd run out of cash and she hasn't asked for it back!

Lovely to see you back Kay, what a crazy start to your day, missing your alarm like that. Glad things worked out in the end though. I imagine when it's colder people will be more interested in the knitted things.

Congratulations on your success at the Craft fair! I can never get enough done to join in one of those! lol This weeks show of several completed cards was a rare event for me, I was feeling especially creative and avoiding a major project, much like I am doing right now. :) Take care and thanks for stopping by my blog already and leaving me an encouraging comment. (And I have paper envy too...that's why I can't stop buying the new pads they come out with! lol) Deeyll

Your booth was looking good! Congrats on all the sales. I don't doubt the warm weather made people not look at scarves and cowls. What are your scarves made out of? If it isn't wool I would be interested in one... see I chopped over a foot of hair in early May. Now that it is cooling down my neck is not happy. And by cooling down I mean it was 64 on the way to work this morning. It made this lizard so sad.

Your stall looks terrific, beautifully laid out and the crocheted cover is absolutely gorgeous - something to treasure. Sounds like you did really quite well, shame about the scarfs though. Oh No! That would so be me... running out the door - I'm always late for EVERYTHING and that's if I remember in the first place!

So glad for you that you sold some of your items. I really hope you made more than it cost you to have your stand there. That would be my worry... I'd not sell enough to cover the cost of the stand!

Anyway - you'll sell the scarves i'm sure, if not you've got yourself some lovely Christmas pressies.

Happy WOYWW

went scrolling through the list of commentors and couldn't find mine! I think Google is giving me grief again. I just wanted to say your booth looked awesome and I don't understand why those cowls and scarves didn't sell unless it was like you said...just to warm that day. Congrats on selling the She Art canvas! Don't you have an Etsy store? try selling what is left over on Etsy! Hope you have a great week. Vickie

Hi Kay,

I'm out of the hospital and finally answering my gmail, so that's why the late return visit! Great photos with the phone, what did we ever do w/o them? Your set-up is fab and from what I can see, it makes no sense that no one bought the beautiful scarves or cowls! Still, it sounds like it was very successful overall for you and three cheers for Lisa!! Hope your week is going well and thanks again for coming by my place! Darnell #42
