Olive Owl

The last time I went to Colorado I told my friend about Pinterest.  I opened up my board called Knitting and Crocheting Love and we were looking at all the pins when Olive caught her eye.  Now, I named her Olive.  Call it quirky, but she's nothing like Olive Oil from the Popeye cartoon.  Nope, Olive Owl is a nicely rounded chic with lots of personality.

My friend Marion made her for me.  Isn't she just so dang cute!!!

Click HERE for the free Raverly pattern.  Oh, they call their guy Cordell the Owl.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  Mine was low key, just the way I like it!

Peace,
Kay

Oh wow Kay - Olive is totally adorable! Hope she settles in soon and that Poppy takes to her OK :)

Sounds like your Thanksgiving was the way we like Christmas Day to be here - low key is good!

Am sure I owe you an email honey, will write ASAP - and Len says hi!

Hugs, Di xx

Love the little owl Kay, especially the glasses and those cute fluffy wings. You asked me what to do with single yarns.... how about gloves/fingerless gloves or mittens and wrist warmers? Hats? Mug hugs, tea cozies or french press type coffee hugs too. If you were to group your yarns by colour family do you have enough for a small throw or baby blanket? I'm thinking in blocks or squares that are then arranged nicely and sewn together to make a blanket, rather than a huge project. I'm getting to the stage now where I have a half or 3/4 of a skein left now from making socks, need to find a good way to use them up too!!

Hugs
