Here we are - Wednesday again! That means only one thing - it's WOYWW. This is a blog hop hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground. Click here to see all the participants. It's such a fun way to get inspired and take a peek into other's crafting space.
My desk is a bit boring today. I started organizing my 12 x 12 paper as you can see. Maybe I shouldn't have done this, but I separated all the pages and didn't keep them in the sets in which they were sold. I'm trying to separate them by color - that's a little bit harder than what I thought. There's also some more 2 x 2 canvases waiting for some paint.
The Cuttlebug is in the background. I did try using shims to use the butterfly die and it worked! Thanks Shaz in Oz for suggesting this and Di for telling silly me exactly what a shim is! I am still lovin' the embossing folders. Yep, life is good with my Cuttlebug!
I finished a wreath over the weekend (see last post for pics) and knitted a few more rows on a project I have going.
Here's a picture I took after a snowfall over the weekend.
I hope you all have a craft-filled week!

Wow! That's some amazing scenery you have. I never know the best way to organise my paper, so good luck with that.
What a beautiful photo. Good luck with the paper sorting, I have mine in colour groups.

Fabulous scenery! Glad the shims worked with the CB - I keep my papers in pads/packs except for the snippets which are colour coded. Whatever works best for you is good! Di xx
WOW what a picture, Beautiful, have fun paper sorting, I done mine the other day and was ashamed of how much I had, so I must not buy anymore untill I use what i've got, It's hard though when you see all the pretty papers out there, Hugs May x x x x
Organizing is a good thing!
Love the small dusting of snow. Your desk is looking very productive today. I think there are a lot of us having a tidy and sort! Had a wee lookie at your wreath too, loving all the different flowers.
Thanks for sharing,
hugs Erika.

Oh dear, I did this a while ago - it took ages but now I like the papers in colour families. Trouble is I have so much and guess what? I bought more yesterday.
Great photo of the snowfall.
Thanks for sharing, Hugs, Neet #11 xx
Sorting is always difficult, especially papers, its never ending. I am glad you are enjoying your Cuttlebug and the snowfall looks fabulous! Have a happy and creative week xx
WOW what an amazing photo, such fantastic scenery :) I hope you have fun sorting through your PP's :)
Have a great WOYWW and a fab week, Luv Karen #86
That is such a cool picture of the landscape in the snow - I've only ever seen places like that in cowboy movies!! Everyday to you, but really exciting to me! I loved the heart wreath you made in your previous post, it's modern and vintage all in one. The flowers are beautiful, but what the heck is burlap?? Lol.
Hugs, LLJ '#43 xx
PS I saw a boy leading camels too :D
busy desk! I sorted my papers, but kept packs together. Have to say I;m glad I did, cos even tho the colours are different, they tone really well, so now I always keep packs together if I can.
Thanks for your comments on my blog

Oh sorting the papers is harder you think, i did it once! now I keep the packs together, your heart wreath is lovely and i like your photo's too, makes me wish i was on holiday, Glad you sorted out the embossing plates, i think i use the embossing folders more then cutting dies. Thanks for visiting my blog, happy crafting x Lou x
I tend to keep packs together until I have used most of it. However, I do find that a lot of kits do not really go together anyway. In fact, I sometimes wonder if those who sort kits really think what they are putting together. I have one kit where nothing works with anything else in the pack - weird (or maybe it is me). Good luck with the reat of your sorting out. Maggie #70
I started sorting kits then decided to keep them together as they all co-ordinate, once I started sorting it was too complicated and did my head in!!! I love my cuttle bug, I recently got a Big Shot Pro which is like the godfather of cutting machines but still love my trusty cuttle! Love the pic of the mountain with snow where do you live I wonder? Thanks or visiting and happy WOYWW x
Hello Kay, Fabulous photo - not the view from your window, is it? You might just come to regret splitting those packs, unless you have noted somewhere on the sheet (in pencil perhaps) the maker/name. You will see from my posts that I have bought loose sheets from my local craft shop just because they are gorgeous but I can't attribute them to any maker which is such a shame. However, I have to agree with Maggie, above, sometimes you just wonder who puts these packs together because often the patterns do not co-ordinate well - or may that's just me too :)) So glad you are getting along so well with your Cuttlebug, I just wouldn't be without mine, especially for embossing. Hope being back at work isn't so bad and that you have a good week. Elizabeth x #99
PS: Your heart wreath is lovely.
Great space! What are you making with the canvas'?
Well done for getting things sorted, thanks for the peak and the photo! Have a good week. Kim #81
I wish you well with sorting your papers by colour. I find it hard enough to do with scraps! Is it yellow or orange? Do I need a space for yellowy/orange? Pretty snowfall and wonderful views there!
I think it is GREAT how versatile you are with your crafting! Looks like you do it all!
Paper sorting sounds very therapeutic. Fab photo, btw! :)
It is a job and half sorting but sometimes you find things you had forgotten about and love them all over again.Do you use the papers or just sort of stroke them so they don't feel unloved. I do a bit of both. Have a great day
Carol
I too want to sort my paper, its in a milk crate on the floor. I have a few little divider things in it, but its not really sorted in any logical way.
Thanks for sharing your space!

Beautiful pic :-) yes paper sorting is a nightmare. I'm always worried that if isplit up papers I''ll then not know what to use with what . But I also think keeping things in colour families is best . Thanks for the peek enjoy your week :-)
fabulous picture, must be very inspirational. glad you are loving your cuttlebug. . . knew you would. there is no good way to store papers, colour, pattern, size etc... there will always be something that doesn't fit
happy woyww

Good luck sorting the paper stash. I need to do that myself. I often fret over to keep the sets together or pull them apart. Many of them do lend themselves to be used together but at the same time I overlook stuff because of how I have it organized (or NOT organized as the case may be). I'm glad you got the Cuttlebug working. Yes, shims are your friend!
sounds like you're in the same sorting mode as I am. good luck thanks for sharing with us and I love the photo!
Oh, I do not envy you sorting those papers. I have only ever bought the design paper pads and they stay together until they are mostly used up. But it will be a good way for you to see all that you have and may have forgotten about!
Thanks for visiting me!
xoxo Karen
I just love sorting through papers, and organizing them by colours! The warms....the cools.....the neutrals.....It's a sure-fire way to getting inspired! *smiles* ~Jen Happy WOYWW!
Love your wreath, gorgeous!!! Those flowers are beautiful!
Oy, the organizing of the paper. What a task, but you'll feel so much better when it's all done! I love my Cuttlebug too, glad you're enjoying yours.
As for the large tape dispenser, it's not as heavy as you would think. That being said, it does take some getting use to the size!
Wreath is very pretty. Love the paisley and the flowerrs you have made are a perfect finish for it. Superb view from your window. Just had to whip up to the top of the page to see where abouts you live. Good luck with sorting your papers. I have my mterials sorted by colours in plastic boxes but have ended up with a box of odds that are either multi coloured or themed. Hugs Mrs A.
Well done organizing the papers, it is always a dilemma whether to colour co-ordinate them or keep them in their collections!
love the picture of the snow! It has been surprising to us that the south were getting more snow than us! Not any more though! it has started and I don't think it will stop for a week!
Debxx
Thanks for your comments today.
I checked out your wreath, and it is beautiful; flowers are too.
I love the header on your blog!
Hi there, just a flying visit this morning, trying to get round to as many desks as I can before work starts! Thanks for sharing your creative space.
I hope the rest of your week goes well for you. Yep, it always takes longer to sort into colours, but worth it in the end I think!
Neil#34
I always think that organising your crafting stash takes far longer than actually creating...good luck with it and thanks for sharing.
Ohhh, you are not alone wondering what the heck is a shim.... I had to google it and then found out from all those wonderful craft people. Now I just go to woyww and I always find such great info.
Looks like a busy desk. :)
Glad to hear you're still enjoying the Cuttlebug and have success with your dies :o) I have toyed with the idea of taking my paper sheets out of their sets but haven't done so far! Love the heart wreath too! x
Love th drawers, fabulous picture too!
Seems to be the time for sorting out and organising. I have tried various ways but still need more boxes!!! DH tells everybody that I have a thig about boxes- always coming home with a new one. Looked at your wreath and snow picture and left you a comment there as well. Thanks for visiting me. Anne x
stunnign photo thank you for your visit to my blog
I have tried sorting papers in every way ...colours,styles,sets,makes etc and none work perfectly ...but the sorting can be fun and I find so many I have forgotten. Your wreath is beautiful. xx
Another WOYWW having a sort out of their stash!!! At this rate I may have to join in!!
Love the wreath, beautiful and looks nice and tactile.
kyla #39
Papers never sort out properly, there's about a 100 ways you could do it and all that shade variation in between! Glad you're getting on with your Bug, everything is a learning process isn't it? It's been snowing here in Michigan too this morning, might get an inch or two perhaps.
Hugs

Wow - what a view! Good luck with getting your papers sorted to your satisfaction - it is a big job, but worth doing in the end.
I had a look at the post below - your heart wreath is AMAZING - love it!

I have just come over to say thank you for visiting me and leaving a lovely comment, I really appreciate it. I have reciprocated and am following you too. Love your blog and your photos of California - one of my most favourite places in the world.
luv and hugs {brenda} xoxox
Thanks for visiting and leaving your lovely comment. I really enjoyed my browse through your posts and, as I've said before it certainly is a different world and different life you have compared to England. Love your photos and was surprised to see you've had snow. At least it's not as severe as VoodooVixen who has -48 degrees in Calgary!
JoZarty x
Great photo - interesting rock formations down there in New Mexico. I am having a rest from making little frocks - I have been making children's dressing up outfits for a friend instead!! Have a good week. x Jo
Hi Kay! I'd love to have the time to organize my paper! They're a mess and all over the place! Patsy from
HeARTworks
Glad to hear you resolved your cuttlebug die-lemma LOL see what I did there? Yes you must make ATCs, I will trade with you!! And I am always re-sorting my stuff - I never know whether to keep 'kits' together or not and whatever criteria you use there is always something that doesn't fit. Thanks for popping by to see me this week, Cindy #36
Yes, I've found it difficult to find a good way of organising papers. Thanks for the snoop.
Marilyn
Last week on my WOYWW post, I had a great idea for storing 12 x 12 papers from another fiends blog - and yes have sorted in colours too and so glad the shim worked should have told you what it was - in using the bug found You tube was the best teacher - could not get enough of it when I first started same as brayering. , thanks so much for popping over, and for sharing. Happy WOYWW! love, Shaz in Oz. x #67
oops meant friends not fiends - how terrible!
i want a die cut machine so bad!!!
I dont even attempt to colour code my papers and separate them, that would be asking for a disaster. Love the snow photo
Bridet #26
I did the same with my papers over the summer. It took a long time, but I am happy I did it!
Happy WOYWW (on Monday!)
