WOYWW 135

A new year full of possibilities.
Full of ideas.
Full of various items on my desk!

This is a blog hop hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground.  Crafters open up their work desks for the world to see.  If you want to get inspired then hop your way through the links.  You will definitely see all sorts of creatives in their element!
First, a confession.  I didn't take my Cuttlebug out of the box.......  how could that be?  I finished my wreath and am happy with how it turned out.  The wreath was one of the projects from the  12 Artsy Ornaments  e-course that I participated in.   The paisley material made the flowers look very soft.  I'm still having a struggle with making the little buds but I'm getting the hang of it.
I also made some more of the heart shaped paper ornaments.  I cut various sizes of hearts and enjoyed painting them using watercolors.  My technique definitely improved from the first one that I made.  The friends that received their 2 x 2 canvas ornaments enjoyed them.  And no, I didn't confess to Stephanie that at first I misspelled her name! hee hee
No workdesk photo this week - really, nothing has changed....

Loving the soft colours of your wreath, it’s really pretty.

As for getting round to visit everyone, I don’t know has some manage to get round everyone each week.

I myself don’t even try, but I have a plan of action.
What I do is see what number Iam when I post and then visit those who post with the number ending the same as mine, so this week I was 91 and I visit everyone who ends with a 1.
There are also a few people I visit every week regardless and of course if someone visits me I return the visit and then if I have time I will stop by a few extra blogs if I can. It works for me and I still visit people I haven’t meet before, which is nice.

Happy Crafting!
And Happy New Year.

Beautiful wreath and gorgeous colours. Just reading the post about your Mom and very touching. Lost my mother when I was only 21 (long time ago now) but I still miss her and only sorry I didn't have longer to fully appreciate her as a woman.

Your wreath is lovely! I love all the soft colours you have used!
Oooh, have fun with your CuttleBug! Word of caution: once you start playing with it you may end up with many many dies and embossing folders :)

Oh I love how your wreath turned out, I think it's really cool! Pretty paper hearts too and you're going to have such fun when you get that Bug out of it's box! I would love to know some people to turn to if I get stuck with my knitting, but I'm a silent knitter I'm afraid, it doesn't come easy and I have to really concentrate otherwise I drop stitches or forget the pattern! Shame really, I can't even have the tv or radio on when I'm trying to knit!! I've heard of the knitting of two pairs of socks at once, but this single pair is about all my sanity can bear right now!!

Love the wreath ...so different ...and a lot of fun. Re your comment about sugar free stuff ....I tend to buy low sugar and sugar free and use a sugar substitute in coffee anyway...fooling myself that it might help me not to put on too much weight ...goodness knows how high my sugar level would have been if I didn't ...but I wonder what the nurse will say on friday when i tell her this.

Kay, your creations are so pretty! Really lovely!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I like polka dots too - my little caddy cost me £3 at our village fete in the summer - it was brand new and still had the label on it, and it's ideal for keeping all my constantly used tools in. It stands on my Martha Stewart Circle Cutter which is exactly the same size and serves as a lazy susan base for it.

Yes, the cutter is called the Black Cat Cougar. The Cougar is the top of the range of Black Cat cutter/plotter machines and they are all lean, mean, fierce black kitties With Teeth and Claws lol!! So far Sheba (my name for her!) hasn't been put through her paces because I haven't been well enough to spend much time in my ARTHaven since Christmas - I've been making a video today which is being uploaded to Youtube as I type this, and will be on my blog tomorrow, all being well.

Happy New Year and happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #60

Hola! I didn't manage to get back to your desk last week, so I've put you as a priority this week instead! Fab wreath on your desk, but how can you not have got your Cuttlebug out of its box yet? I challenge you to make something that requires the use of it, to show us next week!

Gorgeous photos of you and your mum, by the way!

Forgot to say - you asked what Geocaching is... It's a worldwide treasure hunt for little tubs with log books in, that you just sign to say you've been there. Bit like visitor books really! At least, that's the simplest response! For more details go to www.geocaching.com and marvel at just how many caches there are, how many people do it, and then have a look to see if there are any near you - fascinating stuff! I found out there was a cache only 30 feet from my front door!
