WOYWW 161 - Oh My - Look What I've Gone and Done!!

Happy Wednesday!   This is WOYWW day.  It all starts at Julia's blog over at Stamping Ground.   Take a look at all the creative desks from all over the Globe!  Some are neat, some not so neat  -- each and every one full of inspiration!

A confession.  I get distracted easily.  In order to get to some of my stamping supplies I had to first remove a pile of stuff out of my craft closet.  Oh my - look at this -- oh wow, I forgot I have this... I wonder what I was going to do with that..... you get the idea?     It has been a while since I've made any cards.  Yes, I got out of practice - need to find the groove again.

I'm not going to even try to list everything on my desk (round kitchen table).  Just take a look at all this stuff!  Yikes.

Based on my inspiration (see last post) I made an ATC (the first project) and one card.  I've started on another card and so far I like how it's looking.   The ATC is made on a piece of burlap.  I stamped the Eiffel Tower using a brown ink and bronze embossing powder.  Then I stamped the flowery stamp using pink ink and sprinkled glitter on it.   The pink dots on the left are glitter glue.  Added a bit of the green lace at the bottom and I'm done!
See the bling?
Next the card.  I used an off white card as the base then added some green mesh for a little dimension.  I stamped the Eiffel Tower on an old french book page using the pink ink.  The squarish things spell merci.  Added the light pink studs in the four corners and that's that.
Oops - the Eiffel Tower is not quite centered on the mesh
This is the second card that I've started.  I used the same off-white card and them added some TH distress ink.  I don't know how to use that stuff.... I may add some more color to different parts of the card so it'll have some depth.  Added some green lace and some sequins to the bottom of the card.  So far so good.

A bonus shot of the floor
I had my eyes dilated today so the photos may be blurry - does that make sense?

As always, I'll visit those that end in the same number as me and also those that leave comments (please leave your number so I'll be able to find you).  After that then I visit as many others as I have time.

Peace,
Kay

I know that feeling about looking for something and finding others you never knew you had, then the time goes and you haven't got one brass raso thing done in crafting hahaha.

I get distracted easily too. There is always something going on around here that pulls me away from my craft table. But I appreciate having my own space that I can just leave it now and not pack it up all the time. Have a great crafty week. Hope Mr mojo sticks around and you get some more crafty cards done. Hi Kay, I love all your Eiffel tower pieces, they are so softly coloured and beautiful! I love finding things that I have forgotten about, sometimes it even inspired me (well, I don't do it all that often!). Hope you are well. Crafty hugs, Anne #49

Hi Kay - firstly, I like the Eiffel Tower off centre - it looks fine so hope you didn't move it!

Eyes dilated - did you look like Shrek's Princess Fiona with yellow eye whites for a while? Len has that done sometimes and it's a bit odd until it wears off. Hope all is well with the 'peepers'.

OM Gosh, really homing in on trip dates here so you should know when to run away on your holidays pretty soon :)

Oh, Julia posted her WOYWW at about half past midnight this morning - I just happened to be checking the playground so managed to jump in early, whoop, whoop!

Happy WOYWW my friend! Di #5

Lovely! And I like things slightly off centre so no worries on the tower for me! Ugh. Eye Drops. Poor you - I need my eye test soon so I have that to look forward too (NOT!)

Hope the dilation wasn't for anything serious! Take care.
Lovely fabric stamping - something I am into at the moment and thoroughly enjoying. Just booked a few days to stay with a friend in August so must get some ore fabric stamping done as we are going to finish the fabric books we started ages ago.
Hugs and thanks for visiting me - Neet #3 xx

Ohh that sounds strange, having your eyes dilated, hope it wasn't anything too serious.
I'm glad it's not just me that gets easily distracted, it doesn't take much and I'm off at a tangent. You've uncovered some lovely goodies there. The ATC is great but I love your card and I think the fact that the Eiffel Tower is not square looks perfect, it doesn't need to be. Love all the fabric going on.
Have fun and Happy WOYWW

I love that card ...I am sure it was meant to be off center lol....what mesh did you use ...looks like hessian. When I have a sort out I always find things long forgotten and the worst is when I have no longer any idea how to use my find ...even worsrs if I've removed packaging and dont remember what it was called. Last weeK i tried visiting those with my end number as well as my visitors too. xx#10

All cards are supposed to be slightly off center or crooked, how else could you know that they're hand made? =D All my cards are "intentionally" crooked...

Have a happy Wednesday!

I suffer badly from distraction when sorting through any of my supplies. I also go off on tangents when talking. But , your ATC is lovely and nice to have an idea of you created it.

It is good to go through your stash to see what is there. How many times do we buy stuff, put it in a drawere or closet and never use it. Maybe you will get some inspiration from it all. I love the stamping on the burlap. #17

Looks like you're going to have a fun day Kay playing about with all that stuff from your closet. Love the little french projects, especially all the bling. What a shame they had to cancel the fireworks but the fires have been so devastating so you definitely don't want to risk more. Have a wonderful 4th.

Ooh what a creative, glorious mess! Brilliant! I love the Eiffel Tower projects, and I think it looks better slightly offset and not dead-centre on the card. The colours are great, and I love the contrast between the burlap and the bling. Lovely work!

Thanks for your two lovely commnents on my blog - so glad you like all my zentangles! I've got kinda hooked!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Ugh! I hate violated eyes! I mean DIAlated eyes. Well, it is a violation to me. I have to lie in a dark room with a cloth over my eyes afterward or else I'll upchuck.

How fun to pull out a bunch of stash and view it with new eyes and play. I love your projects. I love the Eiffel Tower on burlap. Very cool.

And I thought you said you WERE going to list all the things on your table. So which one of us needs our eyes checked? Anyway, I was looking forward to that list. Heck, you'd probably still be typing it out. It looks like quite an extensive pile.

hi there Kay, ah so know how you feel when I look at your desk having worked at my dining room table for more years than I care to remember the having of a craft room and setting up is rather stunning still and am going the same process of say wow I forget i have that and how to arrange it all so I dont forget again!! thanks for popping over Happy WOYWW! Shaz in oz.x

PS love your visitor method - just sticking to few extras and who visit for next few weeks but like the thought of visiting those who end in what you do as it gets you out of your grove..

I'm still going 'round, too. (We have all week, right?!) Thanks for coming by my place! I'm amazed that you can stop in the middle of cleaning the closet and craft! I have the illness where if I start something I have to finish it before I can move on. Or I have the inability to multi-task. You pick. Good job on the Tower ATC and card!! Have a great week! I'm on a middle of the WOYWW week trot myself. Does this make Saturday "over the hump day" for WOYWWers? LOL Great desk. As for the Eiffel Tower being off-centre on the mesh, I thought you'd done that deliberately - happy accident?

Thanks for stopping by...

Hi Kay, your desk is a feast for the eyes - so many lovely things to look at and it looks to me as though your mojo has well and truly returned :) Love the photos in your more recent post, especially the one of the old bard ... don't ask me why because I don't know but I do like old barns (from the outside). Hope you had a great weekend that Monday hasn't been too shabby either :) Elizabeth x #85
