WOYWW 165 - Canvas Reveal!!

I'm linking up to WOYWW hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground.  Creative people from all over the world link up every Wednesday to show their workdesks and sometimes what projects they are working on.   Make yourself comfortable, get a cup of coffee (or tea) and sit a while.  It's so much fun to see what everyone is working on.

This is my first "baby announcement."  I had fun drawing the giraffes but I couldn't draw them small enough to get their whole body on the canvas.  I think it's pretty darn cute - what do you think?
Hello Mr. Giraffe
And a sad note.  My little conure, Tulip, passed away on Monday.  It was totally unexpected.  She was just a baby - less than a year old.  I miss her whistling for me in the morning and calling me sweetheart.  She had even started laughing like me.  Now it's just me and Katie dog.

It seems as though I've had one struggle after another - losing Daisy in March, health issues and now losing Tulip.  Sometimes life is just so dang rough.
My little Tulip taking a bath
As always I'll visit those that leave a comment and those that end in the same number as me.  I also visit others as I can.

Peace,
Kay

Oh Kay, I am so so sorry to hear of the passing of Tulip. Am sure you miss her tremendously, what a shame - so young.
Your canvas - sometimes I think it is better to have a partial image on something and I think it works fine on here. Lovely and bright - am sure it will be very very well received.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, neet xx #27

Hi Kay, so sorry to hear about Tulip, you must miss her very much indeed, it is such a wrench when a beloved pet dies, I really feel for you.

On a happier note, I love the way the giraffes are not fully on the page, it gives a project a nice perspective, in my humble opinion. It really is a very cute canvas.

Happy WOYWW, and extra big crafty hugs, Anne x #58

Adorable canvas, and condolences on the loss of your little friend. Lovely to have picture - maybe you should commemorate her on a canvas for your next project? Then she can be there, looking own on your desk, still.

Sending you big hugs this morning. We had to have our daughter and son-in-law's dog put to sleep in the middle of the night last night whilst they are away on honeymoon so know just how you must be feeling :-(

PS I prefer the fact that the giraffes are off the page - it's funkier, really like it!

Sending you a big hug today.. sorry to hear about little Tulip.. It is so hard when we loose a pet.. take care x x x
love the canvas! well done it's fabulous.. x
Regarding how I stamp.. I normally stamp the whole of a A4 page, then I have a bunch ready if I need them...sometimes I will just stamp one image the cut out.. But as I normally get covered in ink.. I tend to do a lot in the one go..hugs may x x x#12

So sorry to hear about you losing your beloved Tulip. Our pets have a way of working their way into our hearts and completely stealing them away, don't they. We've lost several kitties and know how it tears you apart.

A wonderful birth announcement! I love the little giraffes - they are so sweet! Well done!

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - hope you enjoy looking at last week's post about the 80th birthday card (the recipient loved it by the way!).

Happy WOYWW,

I am so sorry about your little bird.
I will show her picture to Miss C. She will be sad for you too.
I have a cheery little bird story that might cheer you up a wee bit.

Little Miss C is having a bird rescue group bring birds for her 6th birthday in October. She has asked for "no presents" just a possible donation for the bird rescue people when they arrive.
She had great fun listening to us read to her about different animal rescue groups...It was a toss up between the Donkey Rescue near our RV resort or the parrots...the birds won out:)

Hi Kay. Surfed into your blog from Pixie's, and I'm so sorry to read about your little bird. I know you must miss her terribly. Hopefully life's issues will get better as time passes...There's a great post at http://www.djkardkreations.com/2012/06/one-layer-wednesday-92-on-edge.html with regard to life being like the layers of an onion. You may have to read thru some posts to find it, but it is a very apt description of how things can go in life at times. Hope to visit you again soon, and hope you will come see me too. Right now I'm recuperating from 'some onions' so not posting cards at the moment, but will again soon. Take care. Happy to have found your blog. Oh, yes, I DID enjoy the card too!

Kay, thank you for visiting earlier in the week. Now that my big project is complete, I have time to visit. And it couldn't be a more perfect time because there is nothing worse than losing a loved one. Although words are difficult at a time like this, I assure you, the pain will eventually subside and only good memories will take their place. I didn't join WOYWW this week, so I have no number.
