Georgia O'Keefe's house

I took a drive to Abiquiu, New Mexico.  I risked life and limb (o.k. not really) to take some photos of Georgia O'Keefe's house.  I have toured the house and it's amazing - very simplistic.  The view from her bedroom is breathtaking! For information about the tour go to the Georgia O'Keefe house tour.
A view from the road - the white curtain is her bedroom window

The view from her bedroom (taken from the road that parallels her home.
Looking into the garden
When I toured the house I ate some fruit from one of her trees!
Sorry for the glare - there was glass over the poster
Lunch at Bode's - a little country store in Abiquiu
Yes, that's a green chili cheeseburger!!
I hope you enjoyed your little tour.
Abiquiu is a great little piece of heaven.

Peace,
Kay

I am so jealous of you going to Georgia O'keefes house and how spooky is this I am sat here working on your bag as I sold the first one at the school summer fair (sorry).

Well, if Sandee is coming to stay, then so am I!! I adore Georgia O'Keefe's art, how amazing to see where she lived. You do some really interesting tours, I really enjoy learning about parts of the US that I know very little about!
Hugs, LLJ xx

Yipee! Green chili cheeseburger! Love the house, how fun to visit. I discovered yesterday when I left for work that we are indeed being inundated by your smoke. I work on the west side of town, part way up the mountains and have a view of the Tucson basin all the way to the mountains to the east. It was way hazy that way! Y'all can have it back now. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Kay, It has been a while since my last visit. I love your photos, how interesting. My daughter and I are both Georgia O'Keefe fans. Her home looks very simple and peaceful. I would love to visit New Mexico and I would put her home on my list of things to see. Thanks for sharing. By the way that cheeseburger is making me hungry. It's almost 8:30 and I haven't had dinner. Eating pretty late tonight. Have a great week. I'm signing off and heading to the kitchen to wrangle me up some dinner. Connie :)

Hi Kay, I always love hearing from you, thanks for stopping by my blog. You seem like an old friend even though we have only been blogging together for a few months. I think it is because we have so much in common. Have a great day, and thank you for posting so many lovely photos of the New Mexico area. I just love taking these little trips with you. Connie :)
