A Tree Grows

Happy Mother's Day!!

I've been watching this tree for months.
I've enjoyed seeing the transformation from winter to spring.
Isn't it amazing.
I don't know what type of tree this is - do you have any ideas?

Peace,
Kay

It looks like some sort of ornamental flowering cherry - it looks really similar to the ones we have here.

Yes, it's some sort of ornamental flowering tree (as LLJ said) ... could be cherry, apple, plum. We also have many similar trees. It's lovely, isn't it!

You took some fabulous pictures of this tree. It's beautiful - the bark is as gorgeous as the blooms, which is cool because the bark will stick around longer than the flowers. Thanks for sharing!

If it was here I would say it was a Cherry but whatever it is it is beautiful, thanks for sharing such stunning photographs Kay.

LOL! My first thought was, "what kind of tree is that?" so no, I don't know the answer. If you held me hostage and threatened to put jalapeno juice in my eye if I didn't guess, I'd say a Dogwood Tree. Seriously, I have no idea what that is, but it is what popped into my mind. I'm dangerous like that.
