It's a Roundup!

Hello peeps.  I love driving out to the horse stables to see what's going on.  Call me crazy but I love the dirty, stinky mess.  It reminds me of driving by the dairies where I grew up.  Anyway,  I happen to be there and see these goats and two sheep just walking around, doing whatever they please.  They were runaways!  They had escaped from their stall and were having a good ol' time.

There was a guy in a pickup watching them so I asked if they were his - nope, he just watched them escape!  Being the animal lovers that we are we decided to round them up!  It's time I tell you that this was when I was recouperating from my total knee replacement!  I was wearing sandals as I had a pedicure scheduled later that afternoon.  At this time I was using a cane but when I got out of the car I left it.  I was just going to take photos with my phone -- not do a roundup!
Notice the guy in the white and black shirt?  I don't know how we decided that I would be the one chasing them around and he would be the one standing by the gate where they need to go!  This isn't all of them; I'm guessing there were around a total of twenty and two sheep.
Look at all the babies!  They were so cute; jumping over imaginary objects.  The black and blackish butts are the sheep.  They could have used a good shearing!
Doesn't this one look like a deer!  I knew goats ate just about anything - but pine needles, really?
This horse was just waiting to join in the fun.  Isn't she a beauty.

So, after we successfully rounded them up it was time for my pedicure.  Yikes!  What was I thinking?  Before she started I asked if I could wipe off my feet and sandals.  My feet came out smelling like a rose!!

Peace,
Kay

You great gal! I know you love animals but do mind your knee... you only have one, err... two. Lol.Glad it's healing enough for you to think you could join the goats.
Thank you for becoming a follower! What is it you like about my blog? Is it the postcards? or the (now non existing) crafting? Or my life in Spain? I'd like to know so I know what to do more of (or less as the case may be).
Have a great week.
Lisca
PS. You could have joined WOYWW you know, I didn't have anything on my desk either.

Oh Kay, you did make me smile. Just the sort of thing I would get myself into and then wonder what I was doing.
I remember once I went on a Girl Guide (Scouts?) weekend - as an adult leader - and we went to a University Farm and each were given a job to do. Mine was to take a goat for a walk on a lead. I remember getting to a gate but he would not budge! We ended up turning back and I know now how stubborn a goat can be, hence the words "stubborn as an old goat".
So you can see why your post had me chuckling.
Hugs, Neet xx
