WOYWW 293 - And the winner is.....

Hello everyone!   I'm joining the party that is called What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Our lovely hostess is Julia at  Stamping Ground.  People from around the world join in and show their desks and projects.

I've been busy in my easy chair, knitting away.  I finished a cowl and started a ruffled scarf.  First I had to cast on 648 stitches!
The winner of the 2015 calendar is......
Glenda!  Can you please send me your mailing address and  let me know if you'd like a floral, animal or New Mexico photo.

As always, I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.

RE: computer.  My new computer is a Chromebook.  The operating system is Chrome OS; everything is stored and ran from the cloud.  It's sleek and lightweight but I had no idea I'd need to be hooked up to wifi when I use it.  I'm still not sure about photo editing or exactly how to download an entire SD card.

Peace,
Kay

Hello Kay thanks for stopping by while we wait for Julia to link up:) Good to see your computer has all be upgraded. Far too technical for me but sounds good. I don't get the whole cloud thingy!! Have a lovely week knitting. How long does it take to do one row of 648 stitches. Wow.

Clever knitting but what a lot of stitches on this last one, I doubt I could face it but then I am no knitter. Love the colour.
Not a clue about the computer, in fact no idea what kind of computer it is or anything but good luck with it.
Hope all is well in New Mexico.
Hugs, Neet (in California) 3 xx

wow 648 stitches I am impressed! I use google chrome and the cloud too - much easier and simpler, means I can blog from my laptop or tablet now and take photos straight from my phone which is a lot easier that using my camera and uploading from the sd card onto my laptop. Have a great week - Sunshine Girl #13

648 stitches, blimey that is a lot. Ah this is the pit fall with the cloud everything is there in the clouds and you have to work always at uploading or downloading to get your information, this really grinds me about the clouds. It makes you use more data and keeps the ISP's happy. I hope you find a solution that you are happy with. Thanks for sharing.

Happy WOYWW

I find as I age, it is harder and harder for adapting to new things. Good luck with your computer! I sent you an email with my address and I'm so pleased to be the winner.

Eliza stole my line! 648 stitches seems one heck of a lot - are you using very fine wool or something? Good luck anyway :-)
Thank you for my calendar again, by the way - it's in pride of place on my freezer door! You're really kind, Kay - all the things you send are much appreciated!
Hugs, LLJ 29 xx

Hi Kay, knitting sounds like a cozy occupation at this time of year! I've looked at Chromebooks last year, but I think I would really miss a hard drive. It's great for people who do everything online, though. Maybe that's the future of computing, who knows? Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #47

Wow! I can't wait to see how your scarf turns out! I love the colors. And thanks for mentioning that you need wifi to use your computer; I[m tryng to decide to spend the big bucks to get the "hard" copy for MS Office, or buy the subscription Office 365-but I think you need to be online to use that as well...grrr

Such pretty knitting. That sounds like a lot of stitches. I read your previous post about the RAK. What a neat idea. Interesting that people seemed leery of it. Judy #74

I think I am far to lazy to count that high to stitch something like that anymore ( for fun) I mostly play with numbers all day. but, I sure love the color combo of your yarn :) ~Stacy #85

Hi Kay
Love the look of your knitting, the colours are lovely, but that's a lot of stitches isn't it?? I'm a knitting novice so it might not be!!
Hope you get to grips with your new gadget soon.
