WOYWW 279

Hello everyone!  Can you believe it's October already?  I bet those of you that have started your Christmas cards are now laughing at us that haven't made even one!!

It's time for WOYWW.  Our lovely hostess is Julia at Stamping Ground.  People from around the world join in and show their desks and projects.

Last Saturday I went to the thrift store.  I found these very cool salt/pepper shakers.  The glass on the left is a shot glass.  It doesn't matter that they weren't sets as I have a special plan for them.  Can you guess?
So this is what's on my desk this week.  I'm finding it hard to believe that the Craft Fair is a little over a month away.  Holy moly, I need to get cracking on some of my larger projects!
OMG, I just knew I shouldn't have taken a photo from this angle....

This is what happened right before I started this post.  I don't have insurance for my phone and am not eligible for an upgrade until December, 2015..... guess I'll bite it and get a new phone.....

As always, I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.  It may not be until the weekend before I get around but I promise I'll do my best.

Peace,
Kay

Now I see why the annoying cover on mine is a necessity. Nearly caved in and got one which just covers the back. Glad I didn't. For my previous one I made a little phone case - just a pocket with double fabric so it could be used either way. Why not make one whilst you are craft making?
Good luck with the stall when the time comes and thanks for always being a visitor to my blog.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps have you seen FS's visit with Eliza yet, she is doing exciting things.

Hi Kay, lovely little bottles, we're all waiting now to see what you do with them. How awful about the phone! Must admit, I'm glad Hubby insisted we bought heavy duty cases for ours, just in case. The sort that absorb the shock? I think its called an Armour-Dillo. You should be able to get the screen replaced though, and it'll be less than a new phone!Have a great week,Hugs, Shaz #36 xx

Those little bottles are so cute! I wonder what you're going to do with those then? And yes, you'd better get a wiggle on if the craft fair is in Nov, it's not far away!
I read your Infinity scarf post, it looks great. Next time you knit one, try putting a twist in before you sew up the ends. It gives a good effect, honest!

Hi Kay - do show how the bottles end up, won't you? I hope you get lots of goodies made in time for the sale, and that it goes really well. Have a lovely week, Chris # 23

Isn't it just the way, you can drop a phone and nothing happens and another time it just cracks.
What's happening with the little bottles, have I missed something?
Happy crafting, Angela x 39

Oh no! Phone kaput!
I love those things you bought in the thrift store. The one with the blue rim is Mexican glass. I have a set of larger glasses in the same style.
Sorry I'm a day late but I just didn't have time.
Have a good week!

Oh no! I got a case for my smart phone as soon as it arrived because I hae a horror of doing just this. I'm so clumsy! We have a chap locally who replaces broken screens quite cheaply. Might be worth trying to find someone near you? Are the shakers for glitter/embossing powder? Thanks for stopping by today xx

You can Google "repair cracked phone screen" and there are now places that will it. Not sure where you live but in the states Radio Shack does this now. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the S&P shakers. Diane #43
