I am dedicating this post to my mom. She would have been 79 years old today. She passed away at the very young age of 55 (the age I am now). To say that I've missed her is an understatement.
This photo was taken at the Calaveras Big Trees in northern California. It was one of our favorite camping spots while I was growing up. Lots of fun memories include the huge trees, inner tubing down a huge hill and feeding deer out of our hands. To read more about Calaveras Big Trees go HERE.
We had our moments of mother-daughter arguments but at the center of it all was a love that was full and unique. I'm so blessed to have had her as my mother, even though our time together was cut so short.
If you still have your mom, give her a kiss on the cheek for me.

Your mum was very beautiful Kay. I'm lucky I still have my mum ( she is now 85) I will give her a kiss next time we visit. She lives three hours away from me :-( Hugs Anne x
*sigh* Kay, do I gotta? That woman drives me nuts. She loves drama and wants everyone else to get involved too. Ain't no drama like mama drama.

Beautiful post and picture of your Mom, Kay. I just lost my mom this year and Mother's Day was so sad for me this year. But of course, I am so grateful that she reached 80 years old.
