WOYWW - Dresser Finished!

Hello peeps! It's WOYWW hosted by our lovely leader, Julia.  Visit her at  Stamping Ground.  People from all over the world link up for this party.  Beware, it's addicting!

I finished the dresser.  I love it when the candles are lit.  The turquoise color with the red knobs really came together nicely.  I already owned the table runner and it's perfect!  I've started filling the drawers with goodies.

Can you believe this was that ugly yellow dresser?  And I LOVE yellow!  If you want to see what it looked like before the paint job  go HERE.

My desk is not nearly as messy as in weeks past.  I've been dying clothes pins using Rit Dye.  I've made turquoise and red so far.  I'm loving how they turn out.  I might make some ornaments out of some of them - stay tuned!

Here's a close up of the red ones.  Love them.  They are a much deeper red in person.

Below are the turquoise ones.  Do you see a trend here?  First the dresser and now clothes pins!

And finally, here's three fingerless mitts that I knitted from the same skein of Noro yarn.  Isn't it funny how they all look diffferent?  (Robin - let me know which two you want.)

As always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and those that visit me (please leave your number with your comment).  It might be a few days before I'm able to visit, but will, promise!

Peace,
Kay

(p.s. this layout looks great on my little netbook - who knows what it's going to look like when you look at it!)

Ah Noro! I love it's unpredictability! You have been busy, I like the idea of the clothes pegs ..what started that, just wanting cheerful coloured washing line? You know I love the dresser, I think it looks an absolute gem.

I'm late too...but the week was so full of being gone with errands. I love your little dresser, it turned out great. You've been busy. Lots of fun things. I like the knitted mittens too.
I bought a few all ready colored clothes pins, will try your idea if I use these!! Have a great weekend.

Hey Kay, Brrr on your low temps! Your nice woolen mitts feel real cozy, I expect. So very pretty too. I really like how the dresser turned out. You did a dab job on your color choice...turquoise is so dramatic, and this will make a nice craft cupboard for you. You've got the top decorated so pretty too. Looks very homey & cosy. TFS & good to hear from you too. Hope things are going along very well for you. Merry Christmas & TFS & Hugs too.

Well, Kay, I appear to be a week late in visiting your desk! I didn't play last week and you did, and now I played this week and you didn't! Maybe we will get on track after the first of the year.

I am glad I stopped by, however, because I got to see your dresser finished! It's funny because my kid room was yellow, too, and it was always my favorite color, but in the last few years I'm loving turquoise, blues, and greens more than yellow. You should be very proud of the job you did "uplifting" that thrift find!! Happy WOYWW anyway! Have a great week!! Hugs, Darnell #22

Hi Kay, you haven't posted for a while, so I stopped by to see if you are okay. Here's wishing you a wonderful Christmas and hoping that you are so busy having fun and enjoying the holidays that you just haven't had the time to post.
God bless you and Merry Christmas.
