Today is the day -- celebrated for many reasons, one being Hump Day. Here it is New Mexico style.
Camel Rock in Tesuque, New Mexico |
I've continued to work in my closet (very slowly). I've kept my promise and haven't thrown things back in to get them out of the living room. Here's a quick peek into the closet.
And here's the desk. New stamps with some Halloween paper, a knitted bracelet, a knitting pattern and a Christmas card I made last year.
I'm not much into Halloween except handing out candy to kids. This year, for whatever reason, I decided I will make some cards. Well, really, I know the reason. I saw this adorable stamp and had to have it.
I fell in love with the little clown. The sentiment is exactly how I've felt for a while now. I'm on a carousel and can't get off!
As always, I will do my best to visit those of you that visit me (please leave your number) and also those that end in the same number as me.
Peace,
Kay

Whoa! The closet is looking really good! That is a cute stamp. I went the opposite way with Halloween, which I've not really gotten into until last year. I do not hand out candy! But I do love creating now using the Halloween theme. Happy hump day! Nan G 14
I love those stamps. Happy crafting #4
Kay,
Good for you sticking to your guns with the closet and getting things sorted. As for hump day, love the camel rock picture, never seen anything like it before. thanks for sharing.

Loving your new Halloween Stamp, and your pic of Camel Rock. The reorganization of a craft space is never ending is it....looks like you are doing a fabulous job. Have a great week! Danie #16
Your Organization is going very well. I tend to not know where stuff is for a while after organizing. Love the stamps. #28
Oh, your stamps are lovely!!! Pierrots are my favourite images and that one is just darling! Like you my main activity around Halloween is handing out candy; I'm not a great one for horror images, although I've seen some amazing Halloween projects around in Blogland. Your closet is looking great! Thanks for sharing. Julie Ann xx #38
Thank you for my mention! your desk looks so interesting again this week. I love the halloween stamp. Thank you for following my blog too. I love the stuff you do :) xxx

Oh I agree - that clown is cute as can be and I am not a huge fan of CUTE but I love him. I love your storage. In a perfect world I would gut my room and build in custom but in THIS world I am always on the lookout for new and interesting organizational tips.
I am determined to be early this week
Happy WOYWW!

Heh, while looking at these WOYWW-posts it almost seems that half the time half the crafters are busy organizing their stuff - it is on my mind a lot as well. Sometimes I do organize, but not in a good way, e.g. stacking it or putting it in cupboards in such a way that it is too much hassle to take something out or put it the same way back, which results in chaos pretty soon again :P.
Or that you just managed to get everything a good spot, everything is in place and looking nice, and then you find you forgot a box of stuff... A never ending story.
I hardly make Halloween cards, as I wouldn't know what to do with it. Also other holidays like easter, it's not really a habit here to send people cards for such holidays, except for Christmas and New Year orcourse. I love the clown stamp by the way!

Hi Kay
you are keeping everything clean and tidy that is a good desk this week.
I do not do Halloween but I have to admit to loving your stamp along with the clown one
Happy WOYWW and wishing you a great week

Hi Kay, your closet is coming along nicely - everything is looking very tidy. I don't do much for Halloween either ... not since the children all grew up ... except to hand out treacle toffee to the little ones who visit every year to show us their outfits. However, I do like your owl stamp ... I think I would not have been able to resist it too. Have a good week and happy WOYWW. Elizabeth (waving from a very windy Scotland) x #41
PS: I love the photo of the camel :)
Your sorting everything out at your own pace ..... That's better than just putting it back ... Cute stamp !

Getting it all sorted out will provide a new flow of creativity. Good work. Happy day... Carole #93

Wow Kay, great progress on your closet, oh so organized! I love the stamps, all of them are so cute. Hoping you are well. Big Hugs, Rasz
Normally clowns freak me out but that stamp is very cute...like Mabel Lucy Atwell, the 1920's illustrator! And I am very impressed with the sorting...it all looks good :-)
And I agree, it does feel as if we are all whirling around at top speed....sigh...that's why time spent crafting is utterly important....
Hugs, LLJ 44 xx
A stamp is the reason I am making Halloween cards, too. lol I agree with life being a circus. April #21
Well done you with the closet....it's looking so organised and tidy :-)

Oh I love that owl stamp, looking forward to seeing what you make with it! You're making great progress on your closet too, want to come and do mine?! Happy WOYWW! Kate #54
Nice to meer someone who is living so far away from me, New Mexico.I Loved to look at your pictures. You have a lot of interesting stuff. I also have my moments of organising everything. Greetings from Holland, from Geri.
This is to reply to your question about image transfer. What I did was to print out the photo from my computer scan. I printed it onto very cheap, flimsy printer paper, as this seems to work best. Then I put a coat of Paper Artsy Satin Glaze on the fabric and a coat on the front of the photo. I then stuck the photo, face down to the fabric, carefully smoothing out to avoid air bubbles. Finally you put a coat on the back of the photo that is uppermost, as you have stuck onto the fabric. Leave to dry. When completely dry, take a damp cloth and gently rub. The paper will peel away and only the image should remain. Hope this works! Julie Ann xx
Hi Kay, that little clown is adorable and that rock formation is something else, how cool :)
It sounds like you are getting very organized and that your closet is coming along splendidly. I am so proud of you for not just throwing in a few last minute things in order to have your job done. I'm afraid that I have not got your organization skills. I always put something in a place that I have forgotten and then can never find it, until I purchase another, LOL.
Have a great weekend.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Your Closet is looking really good I think the CD shelves are fantastic I hate to have things to far back and love to be able to see it all in one quick glance :)
I've opened the ink pads and plan on testing them out
Have a wonderful week
hugs Nikki
I don't think I could have resisted these adorable stamps either!!
Looks like real progress with your closet!
Happy crafting this week!

Kay, Thanks for visiting me, sorry I have been so late getting back.
Are you really going to have to create in that tiny space? It will hve to take a lot of discipline to keep things in order to work there, but you do seem to be making progress.
Enjoy

It's not hump day anymore but I do like your Camel Rock! Great work on the closet, I can see you have loads of mod podge, I should have come over and borrowed some! Those are great stamps, especially the owl one. Have a great weekend.

You've been really good sorting out your closet, it's always a temptation to just chuck things back in half way! What a cute Halloween stamp, I can see why you had to get it! Hugs. Pam#37
That camel rock is very cool. Love your new stamp, it's adorable.
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the kind comments.
Happy Woyww,

Love the sentiment - so true in many ways!!! x Jo
Running late, but wanted to say Thanks for stopping by. Love the little fall stamp, I've got lots of ideas, but so far no energy for any creativity. Have a good weekend.
Hello, thanks so much for visiting. Very cute halloween stamp and the pic of the camel rock is amazing. Would love to get to your part of the world some time. Have a lovely week.
Sandra
Hi Kaye,
Yes life is a circus! Hope you are in for a fun ride! patsy
gorgeous stamps, no wonder you want to 'do' halloween.
we have a tea cosy that is a sheep and has an insulating layer like a quilt. it actually makes the pot hotter which means we can have a second cup half an hour later. i love tea, tea pots and tea cosies. i dont follow a pattern for the one I am making though

I could have a great time playing with all the goodies in your closet. That stamp is so cute, I can see why you had to have it and I agree with the life is a circus sentiment, I'm having the same trouble. Hence, why I'm so late, we were out all weekend.
Have a great week (what's left of it).
