Paper and Me

I've wondered if I'm truly a paper person.  Yes, I love paper.  I remember as a kid getting a new tablet and having a hard time making the first mark on that clean piece of paper.  Are you like that too?

Lately I've been thinking about my Cuttlebug.   I was given a gift card to Hobby Lobby and bought some dies and an embossing folder.  I still haven't used the dies but I'm lovin' the embossing folder.

The papers are from Stampin' Up and the embossing folder is Stylized Flowers by Cuttlebug.   All my ATCs and cards are on the simple side.  I stamped french script on the green paper using a Versamark pad.  Next time I'll use the same ink as the paper for a more dramatic effect.
Pink paper design by Doodle Deux 6 x 6 sheets.  The paper clip is from Melody Ross Soul Food.  The butterfly is from a scrapbook kit I was given years and years ago.
Here's a card that I made a special friend.
Me in my dream truck driving around the state of New Mexico

Sometimes we elvove, and I do think of you as a fiber artist! I udes to think of myself as just a card person, now I'm not making them as often! Perhaps you could entertwine the two? waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Lovely cards - I've never seen the flower folder before but it's very nice. I'm definitely a paper person, although I do find it difficult to cut up some of the beautiful designs I have in my stash ... I stroke instead :) Elizabeth xx

Ummm, I am definitely a paper person, trouble is I buy two, to keep one and use one but I then don't want to use either, so I have a stash that would stand as tall as me (5'9") I am sure. I must give myself a talking to and use them more.........I just love inks and can't stop using them. Your cards are all beautiful, I think you should start using your new dies, I bet you will love it, I know I did when I first started out, now I use my die cutter most days. Go know you want Crafty hugs, Anne x

I'm a lot better at making that first mark now, as I think it's nicer on a card/layout/project than in a drawer! Love your truck!

I recognize the names of those towns! I love that your dream truck is filled with flowers. My reality truck is often filled with trash. Why do people think it is okay to chuck trash into the beds of nearby pickup trucks?! SO RUDE!!! Love all the cards you've made recently with your embossing folders. I got a Cuttlebug because I NEEDED one for the embossing folders. I hardly think to use them these days. I'll have to put them out again, dust 'em off. And I'm Pro-Paper and Proud of it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I appreciate it, and had to come see you as a result. I had NEVER heard of Arnold Palmers before. I had no idea they were a real drink, non-alcoholic, at that!! Thanks for the info.

Now lets talk about those cards. They are superb. I like simple, too. I love the map background and you in your dream truck. I would love to go for a ride in it once you buy it (or win it).

BTW, I just read your winner comment. If you can't figure out how to save your random number, you can do a screen capture, which is done by pressing "PRINT SCREEN." On my keyboard it's located above the numbers. Then copy as you would any photo and crop if need be. I hope that helps.
