Friday Smiles 174?

Hello peeps.  I'm joining in with Annie at A Stitch In Time.   I hope everyone has had a great and creative week.  I started knitting a scarf for a high school graduate.  She chose a dark gray yarn; I'm hoping to finish it (or at least get most of it done) this weekend.

I recently went on a trip to Alaska.  I'll have to write a post and share some of the amazing things I saw.  I just returned this past Tuesday.  Needless to say my Smiles are related to my trip.
I saw this written on the sidewalk in Seattle, Washington.  It was so great to see and really take it in.
I enjoyed two scoops of pistachio sorbet.  It was so full of flavor and very light.  Yum!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  We are supposed to have a heat wave here.  That means getting up early to water the backyard and trying to do the vacuuming and laundry before the day heats up.

Happy Friday

Hugs,
Kay

Hi Kay!

I spotted that you hopped over - so lovely to see you blogging. Alaska sounds wonderful - look forward to your post and photos of the trip.

We're fine here, local village carnival tomorrow. It promises to be a lot tamer than Santa Fe was though :)

Hugs Di xx

Oh dear, a heatwave! Wish we could have half of your sunshine as it is sadly lacking again. Flaming June (as in hot flames - Phooey!)
Lovely to see you here, we just don't see enough of you, please join in with some things I am doing so that I get to chat a bit more.
Alaska sounds fantastic! Look forward to seeing posts about it.
Hugs, Neet xx

Hello Kay! Long time no see! Your Alaska trip sounds great and I am looking forward to seeing photos. and hearing about your experiences. (A cruise like that is on my bucket list).
Yumm, pistachio sorbet... I have never tasted that but I love pistachios and I love sorbets on a hot day so ... sounds good!
I love the writing on the floor. It is a quote I have used in one of my scrapbook layouts and I like it. (because it's true isn't it).
Thanks for visiting,
Have a good week,
Blessings,
Lisca

Hi Kay, thanks for the visit to mine. I'm on catch-up today as I've been ironing almost al day and then remembered I needed a card for tomorrow so been making that.
I should be going to bed now so I'm guessing that you must just be getting up maybe.
The sorbet sure looks good! Have a great weekend, Angela xXx

Thanks for visiting while I was out today. A trip to Alaska sounds like something I would LOVE to do, also. I hope to see photos soon, because the ones you shared today were awesome. I LOVE pistachio ice cream, so sorbet sounds really perfect, too.

It's hot here, too. Not as hot as you, but still well over 100, especially with the heat index. Like you, I only water my veggies early in the morning. It's a mess otherwise. Hope your weekend is great and the rest of your Friday has you smiling.

Hi Kay. I know all about heatwaves, and early mornings to water the plants! Thankfully it is only just over 30º today so it is bearable. That sorbet sounds rather delicious! There is some interesting street art around. A lot of it I would choose to ignore, but sometimes it hits the nail right on the head. Kate x
