WOYWW 306 - Papercrafting (and Material in the Same Project!?!)

Hello everyone!   Happy WOYWW 306!  I'm joining the party that is called What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Our hostess is Julia at  Stamping Ground.  People from around the world join in and show their desks and projects.

I've been doing some papercrafting.  I know, don't fall over! tee hee  A friend is teaching me how to make a travel journal for our Hawaii trip.  Here's some pics of what's gone on so far.
Here's the front of the journal.  Can you see that it shows San Francisco and Hawaii?  I put fabric around an old book cover and glued it down with plain old Elmer's glue.  I used Elmer's glue for the entire project.  It definitely did the trick.
Here I glued the ribbon to the back of the journal.  At this stage it doesn't look pretty but just wait!
What took the most time was cutting the "signatures" to fit the journal.  Here I marked where I need to punch the holes through the signatures.  I labeled the Top so I wouldn't get confused.

I will write a more detailed post on the journal and share how it turned out some time soon.  I'm already looking forward to the next one!

I don't want to write a long post as I know there are plenty of desks to visit.  As always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and those that visit me (please leave your number).  This is a full week for me so it will more than likely be Saturday or Sunday before I get around to the majority of desks!

Peace,
Kay

Looking great Kay. Going to be such a fabulous trip as well. Hope all goes well re the knee. I know that one day it's going to something I will have to face. Since they sorted the torn meniscus it's been lot better but they said the arthritis is bad and one day I will be a candidate for knee replacement! :-( Take care Anne x @9
