In The Hood

Hello!  I hope everyone is doing well on this fine Sunday afternoon.  The sun has come out and I'm amazed at how much snow has melted.  The backyard is almost "snow free."

I thought I'd share some photos of the birds that hang out around my home.  I feed the birds and enjoy watching them come and visit.
Maggie Magpie
Wally Woodpecker
Heather Hummingbird
Rachel the Raven
And finally, my favorite of them all.  My little Poppy Girl.  She's a yellow sided green cheek conure.  She's a little sweetie pie.  She says her name (a lot) and sweetheart.  Every morning when I leave for work she says "Goodbye sweetheart."   I've noticed that she'll laugh like me sometimes.  Now, that just makes me laugh more and louder!

I hope you've enjoyed who hangs out in the hood.  I've seen other feathered friends but haven't gotten my camera quick enough to get a photo.

On a personal note.  I was transferred to a new job in August.  It has me working on the computer all - day - long.  What this means is that I'm not as anxious to fire up my computer when I get home.  You may have noticed my infrequency of posts and visits.  I'm going to try to get on a schedule for Wednesday nights and the weekend.

Peace,
Kay

Great birdie pics there - and isn't Poppy such a gorgeous and clever doll? Love her name too - a great choice :)

Love and hugs, Di (and Len!)

Ooh gorgeous birdie pics! They are all so gorgeous! I don't blame you not wanting to go on the computer if you have been working on one all day! I haven't been blogging as much as I would like either. Thank you for visiting me! xxx

Enjoyed seeing all your visitors, and still awed at your camera skills. I'm envious that you have hummers, but perhaps yours stay around all year? Your sweet Poppy is so pretty. How clever of her to say goodbye to you each morning in such a sweet way. One of my brothers & his wife had a golden nape that would talk, and he would speak in 'their voices'. It was such a kick to hear him going on, and you could definitely tell whose voice he was using. Glad you have such a sweet companion to wait for you at day's end. TFS & Hugs

Such lovely photos of the birds. I love to feed them and watch their antics at the feeders! We have been missing you but totally understand when you just don't have the mojo! Hope to see more out of you my friend!

Love seeing all the birds. I'm torn about feeding the ones in our hood. I did for a long time and now we have Stanley the Desert Pack Rat living in our yard, eating the seed and being destructive on landscaping. I like him but between him and the birds they cost a lot to feed. LOL! I'll keep feeding them, but like the cats I keep telling them to get jobs. Also, besides birds I noticed that the weather looks downright decent there. Much better than last post. And yes I get the thing about the job. I live in front of a computer monitor at work and it is where and when I come visit y'all. Don't expect me to do so on school holidays and weekends!
