WOYWW - It's a Takeover!!!

Hi all.  Happy Wednesday!  It's the day that we all meet up at Julia's place, otherwise known as Stamping Ground.  Another week that desks are shared from around the world.

To say I've been overwhelmed would be an understatement.  I managed to mail out the anniversary ATCs over the weekend (if you don't receive yours please let me know).

My desk.  Let's just say that I've been working on creating a dedicated space in my bedroom.  I started this project then got sidetracked when I had friends help me move EVERYTHING I had in a storage unit to my house.  I have boxes in every nook and cranny of my one bedroom, 980 square feet condo.  Yikes!
This is the desk I'm setting up in my bedroom.  I found the carousel organizer at the thrift store for $5!
There's a set of bookshelves on both sides of the desk.
Now, for all the boxes I need to unpack....  most of them say craft/gardening books and art supplies (no surprise there).  Boxes also fill my well organized closet (forgot to take a photo of that).
To top it off, I found a snakeskin in my backyard.  Hopefully the snake that shed it has moved on.  Little Muffin dog is quite the hunter so I'm hoping she won't catch it and bring it inside the house (through the doggie door).  Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
As always, I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.  It will probably be the weekend before I get the majority of my visits done.

Peace,
Kay

Hi Kay, Great organizer and oh, that snake skin . . . scarey . . . I have a terrible fear of snakes.
I've been known to pass-out when I see one close up in the wild. My blood just drains from my brain, LOL. Maybe that's why I'm so whacky :)
Have a great week.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)

Only ever seen one snakeskin (shed) and I was only young then. Not sure I'd want to see one nowadays.
I don't envy you with all those boxes but am sure it will be worth it in the end.

Oh what a bargain you got with your carousel Kay! I think I just moved an inch closer to ordering one!

Sheesh though, a snake skin - ack! They're my true phobia - Len and I stopped to take photos en route back to Santa Fe from Taos when we were over in NM. I was quietly sitting on a rock by the Rio Grande when he remarked 'this is rattler country'. I was back in the car before you could say knife!

Good luck with the boxes - I have to say that your bookshelf and desk look very fresh and are just waiting to be filled with goodies!

Hugs, Di xx

Love your bargain carousel but that's a lot of boxes to unpack, good luck with it all.
Goodness, I hope your dog doesn't find the snake, I'm glad ours only find frogs , I think I'd run a mile if a snake appeared.

Oh my, Kay - what a week you have had. Mmm - I trust the snake has indeed moved on, and isn't interested in setting up home in your garden!
Trust you enjoy opening up all those boxes and re-discovering all that is in them. I like that carousel - just right!

Hopefully the snake has moved on! You have your work cut for you, just don't allow yourself to get overwhelmed. Perhaps unpack one box per day, finding the perfect spot foe each item. If I lived closer i would come by and help.

please let me know if not and I will send another.

Hi Kay, wonder if you can die the snake skin, it might be too fragile maybe or glue it to card with PVA. There has to be some way of using it in your crafting it's such a gorgeous texture.

Hi Kay.
What a steal on that carousel organizer! I love finding deals like that. You'll get stuff put away. Just take your time. As to the snake skin, do you have Black (King) snakes in NM? That's what the pattern reminded me of. I have 5 that live in my backyard and have several of their skins that look similar to yours.

Argh Kay - you have your work cut out girlie - I'm terrible TERRIBLE at unpacking..I tend to rummage and see what I might need and pick it out and then leave the box, and urgh, don't do it my way! The light in your bedroom is perfect for crafting so am quite sure that getting that sorted and set up will be a great motivation.

Hi Kay, hope the unpacking is going well. I have to say, I'd rather have a snake than a spider, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #35 xx

My fingers are x'd on both hands. I'd faint dead away if one of those critters got in my house (had that happen to a friend whose cat liked to bring her treasures). Love what this crafty space is looking like. Great buy on the $5 carousel. Thought I had a good buy getting my with a 50% coupon! This will come in handy too. Good luck in organizing. I work in fits & starts...still got mess everywhere! Forgot to say - your birthday breakfast looked mighty tasty too. TFS & Hugs
