Friday Smiles - Oh what comes out of the mouth of babes.

Happy Friday to you all!  I'm linking up with Annie from A Stitch In Time.  I've really enjoyed ending the week this way.  Today I'm sharing a true story that involves a friend of mine's daughter.

My friend's daughter (Sherri) is taking classes and teaching second grade, full-time, in Marysville, WA.  She'll graduate from Western Washington University in June.

Sherri forgot about having gum in her mouth, (which is still not allowed in school), and was assisting a little girl with her assignmentThe seven year old said, "Miss Smith, your breath smells minty..." and then the girl squinted her eyes and pursed her lips and in an accusatory expression she added "like gum."

When my friend shared this story I just knew it is perfect for "Friday Smiles."   I just had to laugh when she sent me the email telling me about Sherri's latest teaching "lesson."

I hope there's something in your life that makes you smile, and sometimes, chuckle out loud!!

Peace,
Kay

I taught 6 & 7 year olds for 30 years - they don't miss anything I can assure you!!! Thanks for popping over to read my blog posts - Max will divide the "dumfing" into two pictures which will be mounted and framed. We had a great day yesterday playing with the wool rovings, fabrics and embellishing machines! x Jo

Morning, Kay! I've just drawn the winner of the Soul necklace - and it was you!! I can't seem to get your profile email link to work - think it's Blogger as mine doesn't work either! So can you use the Contact Form on my blog to send your snail mail? Have a blessed Sunday x

Hey Kay, So nice to have you visit. What a cute story, and I bet this teacher won't forget with the gum again. Kids are so quick to pick up on such things. This gave me a chuckle, just what I needed this afternoon. Hope all is well at the NM hacienda where you are. Loved your bird feeder in the earlier post. TFS & Hugs
