Friday Smiles - A dog on the Roof!?!

Hi All.  This is the first time that I'm joining in with Annie at A Stitch In Time for Friday Smiles.

I was in Santa Fe a few weeks ago and had to take a detour due to an accident.  Little did I know that this is what I'd find!  While driving down the road I saw this:

Yep, that's a dog you see on the roof of a carport.  I was so happy to be forced down the road and meet this adorable guard dog.  He can see the entire neighborhood from this vantage point.  Now, being a guard dog, he stood up and gave a howl when I stopped and got out of the vehicle for a better photo.

Peace,
Kay

Hi Kay! Happy Valentine's Day to you too honey! Super photos of the guard pooch - and that fabulous blue sky of NM, sigh.

Penny Black stamps are based in Berkeley, CA! But very popular over here in the UK and they're savvy enough to have some typically British designs too. One of the main USA stamp companies whose goodies we can find easily over here.

I see you posted on WOYWW - I missed that, off to take a peek!

Love and hugs, Di xx (and Len!)

Hi Kay, just to let you know I weave in the yarn ends for about 2cms then do a slip knot before I weave the yarn back again for 2cms. They seem to have worn ok without undoing and I wear my scarf/shawlettes so often. hope that helps.

At first I was doubting that it really was a dog on the roof. It looked suspiciously like a black sheep or a miniature wooly mammoth. He's quite the cutie up there on the roof.

Truly, I thought "dog on a roof? only in Mexico." Or New Mexico as the case may be.

He's a handsome fellow. We often see dogs on the roof terraces out here, but they do usually have a small wall or guard rail round them. I always think it's too hot for them up there, but as you say, they have a good view of all that is going on. Kate x
