WOYWW 224 -- I'm Back!

Hello peeps!  I know you've all heard it before - I'm back.  But hopefully this time I'll stick around!!

For those of you that don't know about WOYWW it's the brainchild of Julia at Stamping GroundThanks to her we get to visit desks from all over the world.  People share what they are working on and what their desks look like.

The last time I joined in I showed my vest that I was knitting on and had made a terrible mistake.  I vowed that I would finish it and in a way, I did.  I ripped (otherwise known as frogging) out the entire thing!  I decided that I'd rather take it apart than try to correct my error.  It's now a lovely pile of yarn!

As for my desk.  I haven't gotten messy in quite a while.  I'm showing my closet where I will eventually get my supplies in order.  I've been delayed in this process with company; but this weekend is the time.  This week will be the "Before" and next week will be the "After."  Now that I'm accountable to you I will have to make progress.
That's my first zentangle laying on top of the printer.
This closet is narrow and deep.  It goes under the stairs so it goes past the little yellow desk.  That's my printer on top of the desk.  On the floor are bags of goodies that I move into the closet when company comes.  It's a fast pick up and hopefully the guests won't be nosy and take a peek!

As always, I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number.  After that it will be a free for all and I'll try to visit as many others as I can.

Hi Kay, well we all have things that we box up and hide when company comes, that is unless we live in a big home with lots of storage. I've never had the luxury of lots of storage :)

Great use of storage .... Looking forward to seeing the after next week

Hi Kay! Connie is so right, I bet most of us have a 'hide it' place :)

Your Zentangle looks to be a big one? I did my very first the other day - loved playing but have a loooong way to go. I remember looking at Zentangle books with you in Santa Fe just over a year ago and wondering however anyone got going on those. Now I'm learning :)

Yup, indeedy, it was my birthday last week since you asked. No huge Mexican hat and band playing this year though :))

Have a lovely day, hugs, Di xx

I think we all love to have somewhere to hide our stash Kay :-) Put a lock on the door and no one will find it all.

We have a word in Wales...CWTCH (pronounced Cootch). It meanas a little hidey hole, a snuggly place and even a cuddle. And that's what sprang to mind when I saw your den!
Nice to see you back on the desks :-)
Hugs, LLJ 58 xx

What delight to have a place to hide it all away. I have bits everywhere when I'm crafting and believe me worktrays on a bed is not ideal! Have fun on WOYWW! ♥ Karen ♥ 93 x

Well, you joined just like you said you would. I'm glad. I admire you resolve and that you said you were now accountable to us. We've seen the 'before' and we'll be waiting for the 'after.' I often tell myself I should finish X or do Y for WOYWW but it never motivates me. I still have that silly bird card lying on my desk after I asked for suggestions on how to finish it off and had intentions of showing it off to y'all. Anyway... back to you and your closet. Very narrow but cool that they didn't waste the space under the stairs. It is a great place for stash but definitely it needs a tidying.

Hi Kay I've had a friend stopping for a few days and I was popping stuff out of sight here, there and anywhere. had fun retrieving it all this morning.

I'm sure we all do the same thing - a quick sweep when guests come. Easy in then easy out.
Have a great week sorting.

Hi Kay! So glad to see you here! I think you need to have a couple of us WOYWWers visiting and we will have an organized mess all ready out of the closet and all over the house by the time you get home from work!!! Of course it will be too tempting for all of us to play so you would have to call in sick the next day :)Big hugs my friend! Rasz #102

Hi Kay!! Thanks for visiting my blog :-). I am trying to still visit other desks and it will take some time...sometimes I have gotten around to commenting and find that it is time to start all over again lol!! I hope that you do get a chance to art journal as I think that you will find it very satisfying and a good way to release what ever emotion is ruling you at the time hehe. I love the way that we all make the best of the spaces that we have to create in! Happy WOYWW.

I have doors, to of them, but you can't get upstairs without going thru my room so there is really no way to hide my mess.

Happy (now my internet is back) WOYWW!

OK then, I'll definitely come back next week to see the before and after!! Shame about the vest, hope it goes better the second time, or are you going to knit something else? Loved your photo taken in the storm a few posts below, gobsmacked is a good word, it's stunning! Good to have you back too. Oh, and I didn't make those flowers, just the little displays, the flowers came from JoAnns!!

Your zentangle looks fabulous, how are your eyes? I tried doing them but it hurt my eyes too much and I get bored easily, so never really finished one properly. Love your little hidy cupboard. What a great way to tidy when visitors come, I must remember that. I will check back to see your tidy up progress :)
Have a great week,
