Owls Have Arrived!

I am overcome with happiness and love!  Enough to make a silly statement - Ow'l always keep you both in my heart.   I received a package and was overcome with emotion when I saw the sender's name - Di from Pixie's Crafty Workshop.  She and Jan from Lunch Lady Jan's Fabric Frenzy teamed up together to send me the most thoughtful gifts.

Thank you both so much!  You have lifted my spirits when I needed it the most!   I must admit, in my haste to get to the good stuff I didn't take a picture of how neatly my package arrived!
What a beautiful card and such a lovely note!
My new knitting needle holder made for me by Jan!
My too cute apron!
You ladies have brought a smile to my face and a few extra beats to my heart.  I can't thank you both enough!

Poppy was quite interested in the owls - can you tell?
Poppy is a yellow sided green cheek conure.  What you probably don't know is that Di and Len named her!  When they came to New Mexico it was right before I was to pick up my new family member.  We were throwing around names and one of them said Poppy!  Oh, but if she turned out to be a male - what then?  Popeye!  Needless to say, the test confirmed she's a girl (she's much too pretty to be a boy) so Poppy it is.

It's the unexpected things in life that make the most impact.  Thank you both!!

Much love,
Kay

Hi Kay
Wow what a fabulous piece of happy mail, I'm not surprised you were moved and I'm sure you will think of them every time you use your gifts. Lovely fabric I don't suppose Poppy will mind owls instead of parrots...... she is so cute.

What a delightful name for your baby, and enjoyed reading how she got named. And lucky you to have such generous buddies to make all the lovely goodies for you. Bloggers are a 'good people' aren't they? Glad the pkg arrived at a time you needed cheering. Loved your sweet owl-y card too. Well done! Hope things are perking along in the right direction and keeping you in my prayers that all goes according to plan. TFS - your pretty card, and your pretty gifties too. Hugs

Hi there Kay! I'm so very pleased you like the 'happy post' - and it 'chirped' you up. Jan did the sewing of course :)

Doesn't Poppy look lovely - we remember so clearly throwing names around that day with you. I do recall that the 'Popeye' name if Poppy turned out to be a boy was Len's idea.

Love and hugs, Di xx (and Len)

My Poppy would love to meet your Poppy. Don't worry, my Poppy might ruffle some feathers but she wouldn't eat your Poppy. Not until properly sauteed and served with a nice garnish that is.

BTW, What great stuff you got in the mail! How fun.
