Huevos Rancheros.
From there I headed to the Horse Stables. I hadn't been up there since last year and I wanted to see if there were any babies. No babies but I ran into some other friends and had a good time petting their horses and dog. I was in the stalls and didn't take my camera with me.I stopped at an overlook and took the following photos. The first one is of a beautiful mountain lion sculpture that is in the middle of a round-about. I've always wanted to take a photo of it but didn't want to stop traffic to do it.
Looking back towards downtown.
I came across this stump. Do you see anything?Maybe a bug of some sort with large antennas?
I stopped by my mother's final resting place. What better day to visit than the day I was born. I miss her terribly.
After taking this photo I went over to sit in the shade along a little ledge. There was lots of commotion behind me and I wondered what was going on. Next thing I know I have a visitor not too far from me.
He was so focused on his friend that I don't think he noticed me.
This was the cautious one. It stayed next to the tree. I wonder if they have a little family nearby.
Next I took a photo of our school spirit. The high school mascot is a hilltopper mountain man. Quite appropriate since we sit on top of mesas.
My brother graduated from here and now two of his children will be going there this next school year.
Another one of my favorite places in town is the public library.
They have a used bookstore; this is where I take my books if I don't pass them on to friends. They also have a section of free books. On this visit I picked up a shorthand book for free! How fun is that??
Nikki from Graphix and Design and I share the same birthday. Stop by and visit her and wish her a belated happy birthday! We met through WOYWW. She mailed me a nice package with goodies for my birthday; her's will be in the mail soon (I'm always running late).
Thank you for sharing my birthday with me! I hope you are enjoying your day.
Peace,
Kay
