WOYWW 194 - Where are my acrylic paints?!?

WOYWW has arrived.   If you don't know what "WOYWW" is all about go over to  Stamping Ground.  A big shout out to Julia for making this happen every week!

Yikes!  Someone called to look at the condo so I had to pick everything up and hide it all.  But right after they left I took some of my stuff back out to continue working on my canvas.

I'm very happy with how the canvas is coming to life.  The paint color is sky blue with some white added to it.  I can't help but love the turquoise look to it.  As the title of this post says -- where are my acrylic paints......
Yay - my acrylic paints!!! Found them at the very back of the closet!
Here's a few photos of the canvas transformation.  The first photo shows the canvas painted with blue paint and then I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad to add the brown (I couldn't find my acrylic paints at this point.)  Unfortunately the brown pigment smeared when I glued down the birdies so I used a baby wipe to clean it up a bit.
You can really see the texture from the tissue paper.
Not crazy about all the birds at the bottom.....
I haven't glued down the birds on the love line (haaa) yet.  I might replace the bird on the left with a bolder pattern - we'll see.  I also need to add some more color and fuss up the birds a bit.  It's almost done though.

Like always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and also those of you that visit me (please leave your number).  Thank you so much for visiting.  When there's well over 100 (usually closer to 200) participating I know how difficult it is to get around to visit everyone.

Peace,
Kay

  3. woo hoo, look at you #2! You almost made it in the ace slot! Closer than I've ever got though! I'll put in my 2 cents worth on the lower left bird, I think it needs to be the same pattern as one of the birds on the top line as the bird on the bottom right is the same paper as the bird on the top, yes? And I love how you have the 2 bottom birds on the word love, very clever chick! waving hi from th hills of North Carolina ♥

  4. Great canvas, I'm #10 this time sometimes forget to do that. Enjoyed your visit last week, I had major computer problems so didn't get around but peeped about and so much enjoy visiting. Glad to know I'm not the only one who pops things here and there when someone stops by. Happy WOYWW and enjoy the week.

  8. Agree about the bird, needs to be a bit bolder to my eye but it is a lovely canvas and very pretty colours. Your acrylics look like a mini rainbow and remind me that I need many more colours in my collection.

  14. Firstly, great news about the condo! Fingers crossed etc etc!
Secondly, I think you should leave the plain bird as it is as not everyone is loud and brash in life and I've often found found that the quietest people/birds have the strongest core! So let it be plain and proud :)

  18. Oh Kay, this is fab! When I was scrolling down I saw just the rows of birds at first, then I saw the lines and the word love you'd added. It's gorgeous!!!!

I'm on the fence (or the wire, ha!!) about the birdie on the left. Jan has a point - life is a mix of less flamboyant folk. Do what YOU think is best. Love your paints, I have just one measly little pot - and it's pink of course! :))

  58. I am late getting round to visit this week, due to life getting in the way. I agree with you about that left hand bird, it needs to be a bit stronger in colour, but that is just my opinion. Thank you for your visit this week. I believe that Copics are much the same as Promarkers. Have a good week. xx Maggie #42
