WOYWW has arrived. If you don't know what "WOYWW" is all about go over to Stamping Ground. A big shout out to Julia for making this happen every week!
Yikes! Someone called to look at the condo so I had to pick everything up and hide it all. But right after they left I took some of my stuff back out to continue working on my canvas.
I'm very happy with how the canvas is coming to life. The paint color is sky blue with some white added to it. I can't help but love the turquoise look to it. As the title of this post says -- where are my acrylic paints......
Yay - my acrylic paints!!! Found them at the very back of the closet!
Here's a few photos of the canvas transformation. The first photo shows the canvas painted with blue paint and then I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad to add the brown (I couldn't find my acrylic paints at this point.) Unfortunately the brown pigment smeared when I glued down the birdies so I used a baby wipe to clean it up a bit.
You can really see the texture from the tissue paper.
Not crazy about all the birds at the bottom.....
I haven't glued down the birds on the love line (haaa) yet. I might replace the bird on the left with a bolder pattern - we'll see. I also need to add some more color and fuss up the birds a bit. It's almost done though.
Like always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and also those of you that visit me (please leave your number). Thank you so much for visiting. When there's well over 100 (usually closer to 200) participating I know how difficult it is to get around to visit everyone.
