Okay, that might be a bit drastic now that I ponder it some more.

I like variety so my perfect day varies. Some days it would be busy at work, some days reading, some days crafting, etc. Mostly I'm pretty happy as is.

If I could change anything about myself it would be to become someone who didn't require 9 hours of sleep at night. That is so time consuming! I just can't function on less than that though.Princess Judy Palmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14870980058627037243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7479566980272205458.post-66066086519296504222013-09-11T14:38:37.779-06:002013-09-11T14:38:37.779-06:00Kay I think you described a wonderfully restful ev...Kay I think you described a wonderfully restful evening. When I worked I was just as you described...a flurry to get out the door as I like to sleep until the last possible...and even after being retired, I _still_ like sleeping late. I think whatever works to calm one's center during a day, is the perfect day...be it reading a book, listening to music, just having quiet time with a loved one. Hope things are going ok with your return to the work place. Thinking of you. I think a routine for relaxing can be any time of the day, I don't let anyone dictate my happy place or happy time! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥SandeeNChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05835920831404996017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7479566980272205458.post-66142779495919434822013-09-08T14:26:00.005-06:002013-09-08T14:26:00.005-06:00Hello Kay. Only ever enjoyed Friday evening as didn't have to get up next morning and could enjoy Friday evening with nothing to do. Sat was shopping, Sun housework etc and preparing for week. Then one Monday morning I fell apart. Once I'd recovered from a bit of a breakdown I rediscovered crafting. Still enjoying every minute of not having to rush out in a morning and in the main being able to do what I want when I want. Have a good week dear friend. I would pickup the water-hose and spend a good 20 to 30 minutes just walking around the backyard and watering the plants. It was my quiet time. I think that it is more important when you are a working woman that you have a time after work rather than in the morning. I time to breathe a little slower and wash away all the corporate stuff (for lack of a better word) and start your evening off as your own. Having time to yourself with no interruptions, even if it is only 20 or 30 minutes to do whatever brings you joy.
Another thing that is good is having a good CD in your car for the trip to work. I am inspired my Joyce Meyers, she has a way of lifting my spirits and letting me know that I can choose to have a joy-filled day, even at work, also a great music CD that you can not listen to without singing along. It's a great way to start your day.
Here's to relaxation and stress-less days :)
Your blogging sister, Connie :) Conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08187302890702147585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7479566980272205458.post-57539184683033888142013-09-07T03:41:08.996-06:002013-09-07T03:41:08.996-06:00When I was a working woman I had to be on the job ...When I was a working woman I had to be on the job at 7:30 also so I know exactly how you feel. I had a little dog that thought if I slept until 4 AM I had overslept and she would wake me with this shrill excited bark each and every morning! Thus I had time to enjoy a cup of coffee and cruise some blogs or make a card before time to get ready for work. Now I'm retired and don't know how in the world I did it all those years! Good luck to you my dear!Glendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15978664725946400372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7479566980272205458.post-37936294961054548402013-09-07T03:30:21.379-06:002013-09-07T03:30:21.379-06:00The problem is that these days we read so many art...The problem is that these days we read so many articles on what we should do/eat/look like etc etc that its easy to get railroaded and not actually stop and think what it is that we ourselves enjoy. Sounds like you've put yourself first, which as women we are really bad at doing! How often do I really make time for myself? Hardly ever. And do I get a gold medal for being a Martyr? Nope. So, I know what's wrong, how to fix it, now all I need to do is JUST DO IT!!!
Sending big hugs,
LLJ xxxxxLunch Lady Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15592783504717849403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7479566980272205458.post-13740987152633034792013-09-06T22:35:58.170-06:002013-09-06T22:35:58.170-06:00I have to agree with your perfect day. When I get lost in my music and making a mess with paint and the worries leave my mind for a little while, that's perfect for me!
