Hello peeps. I'm joining in with Annie at A Stitch In Time. I hope everyone has had a wonderful week and have an even better weekend planned! I'm off today but have a Doctor appointment; this will the third this month! Holy moly. I've met my out of pocket expense so at least I don't have to pay my co-pays the rest of the year!!
I have some knitting humor for you all today. I thought that was appropriate since that's the only craft I've been doing lately.
A man and his wife were sitting in church, the
man was sleeping and his wife was knitting. The priest asked "Who created
the Earth and man?" The woman poked the man with her knitting needle and the
man screamed, "GOD!" The Priest looked at him and said, "That's
right." Then he asked "Who is God's son?" Once more the woman
poked her husband with the needle, he woke up and screamed, "Jesus
Christ!" Again, the priest said, "Correct." Finally, the priest
asked, "What did Eve say to Adam when she didn't want any more
children?" The knitter poked her husband again, but this time he screamed
"Poke me with that thing one more time and I'm going to rip it off!"
The priest smiled and said, "That's right."
And to celebrate Halloween.
I hope these made you giggle and brought a smile to your face!
Peace,
Kay

WOYWW
Hello everyone! I'm joining in with Julia over at Stamping Ground. People
from places near and far show their desks and what they are working
on. Julia has a full explanation of WOYWW on her blog HERE.
Remember the sweater that I mentioned last week? I decided to pick it back up and see how far I get before my big vacation. Wish me luck! So, my workdesk is my comfy chair and my lap.
Now isn't that a pile of yarn!! I'm actually hoping I find all of the yarn. I used one of those "space saver" bags and took all the air out of my yarn. Tee hee.
Here's a photo of some flowers I spotted. Can you see the bee on one of them?
As always I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those ending in the same number as me.
Peace,
Kay

I love New Mexico in the Fall
Hello peeps. This time of year is magical. I love watching the leaves dance to the ground. Not only that but the colors are amazing. When I first moved here I couldn't see past all the mud (adobe) houses and the different shades of red in the soil. I moved here from one of the largest farming areas in northern California where everything was green and lush.
New Mexico has grown on me; it's deep in my bones and I love everything about it. Even the old adobe homes have found a place in my heart. I'm so very lucky to call this my home.
Hello wonderful leaves.
The above photo was taken at the El Santuario de Chimayo. I have done a post about the Santuario before but it's different every time you visit.
The trees are slowly turning. The little black specks are cows.
This is a corner of Rancho de Chimayo, the wonderful restaurant where I took my Aunt. Every fall the red chili ristras are a big thing. Most people hang one at their home; I love how the restaurant has covered the entire front of the building.
Hope you enjoyed your little visit.
Peace,
Kay

Friday Smiles 142
Hello peeps. I'm joining in with Annie at A Stitch In Time. I hope everyone has had a wonderful week and have an even better weekend planned!
The flower I showcased last week wasn't a peony - this is my peony!
And now here's this weeks smiles. I have some little helpers around the house. Sometimes they create a mess, bringing their food into the living room so they can eat with me. (I usually eat in front of the t.v. and watch Jeopardy.) Playing with their toys and having a fun filled day.
They know when it's time to relax. They wind down and choose their favorite place of the day. The blanket on the couch is for their benefit. In this photo it looks like they've had enough of each other! The front door was open so Katie (on the left) was watching the front door and Muffin (on the right) was keeping an eye on the backyard. My house is well protected!
Thank you for visiting this lovely Friday. I'm working today so it will more than likely be Saturday before I visit other Friday Smiles posts.

Kay
