WOYWW - 352

Hello everyone!  Another happy WednesdayI'm joining in with Julia over at Stamping Ground.  People from places near and far show their desks and what they are working on.  Julia has a full explanation of WOYWW on her blog HERE.

My workdesk has been my comfy chair (again).  Yep, it's my favorite place to be.  I've really been knitting up a storm.

I took a knitting class at my local yarn shop.  The technique I learned is stranded knitting.  It's using two colors on the same row.  I surprised myself at how easy it is to knit with both my left and right hand!  I still need to block my cowl.  I'm not crazy about the colors (I had no choice); I've decided this will be my dad's birthday present in October.  He doesn't like turtlenecks so don't know if he'll wear it.  Maybe when he goes hunting it'll come in handy.

I received some happy mail.  Don't you LOVE the labels my friend Connie sent me!  Aren't they too cute!  You can visit Connie at her blog Crafty Home Cottage.

Have I said how much I HATE Windows 10?  I was able to download photos but sometimes I can't find them.  After being on the computer all day long I really don't want to spend any extra time trying to figure it out.

As always, I will visit those that end in the same number as me and those that leave a comment (please leave your number).  It will more likely be Friday before I get around.

Happy WOYWW

Peace,
Kay

  6. That's a nifty looking cowl you are making there. The colors make me think of some sports team (although who I have no idea). I think comfy chair crafting sounds like a dream! PJ #47

  8. Oh, I feel the same way about Windows 10! I'm so glad that the photos I take with my phone automatically upload to Google Photos, and they have added a little editing capabilities. Have a lovely week. Sandy Leigh #36

  9. I used to do so much intarsia knitting...in fact, I used to design my own patterns. I once knitted my hubby a Celtic knot work jumper...that took some doing!! I like your knitting, the colours contrast rather well :-)

  10. Hi Kay! I had to come by and see what you are up to! This last month has been 29 Faces for me. Your new knitting technique is so pretty. I don't know how you can knit with both hands as I could never learn to knit with just one. I think your dad will cherish his sweater...especially in those cold morning hunting trips :-) I LOVE your new labels! They are so pretty, perfect for your handmade items. It's good to know you are cuddled up in your comfy chair, relaxing and knitting. All my love and big soft hugs! Robin

  16. great knitting! I manage to file my photos in windows 10 - I just create a new folder for where I want the latest photos to go and then open file explorer again, so you can see them side by side on the screen and drag the photos into the new file... does that help at all or make no sense?! good luck... 18. Loving your labels ! Windows 10 has been bugging me to update..I've put it off wondering what problems I would encounter. thanks for the input. Last time I updated my printer wasn't compatible and I can't be buying printers everytime an update comes along. Or searching for the printers ?patch. Tech it's great but always time consuming. Have a lovely weekend.

  20. I like the colors. I caught on to standard knitting quickly then life got in the way and I've not touched my project in a couple of years. I'll have to re-learn LOL. Two things to fix your photo- loss. 1) You can change in your settings where you want your items to download to. Of course this will download everything - not just photos to that place. 2) Everything will show up in your downloads folder. As soon as you download, open your 'downloads' folder, then move the items to a pictures file where you can find them later. Hope these tips help. Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #49
