My desk pretty much looks the same so I thought I'd show you the bird feeder. We had a calm day over the weekend so I was able to spray paint it. I covered the flowers and birds so they wouldn't be green.

My neighbors gave me the feeder several years ago for Christmas. I can't wait to show them the renovation! I think they will be pleased with how I've brought it back to life.
As usual, I will visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number. After that I'll visit others as I can.

ReplyDeleteI am intrigued by the bird feeder...looking forward to the next steps. I probably should have mentioned when I offered to send the bottle caps, we don't drink a lot. Although I do have 3 Alaska Ales and and 3 Mirror Pond caps sitting on my dresser. Mirror Pond is from Oregon, but we used them the other day to cook some brats so I thought I would throw them in. Just wanted you to know I haven't forgotten. Hopefully you will still be making jewelry by the time I get them to you. lol. Have a good week. Sara j #43

ReplyDeleteHello again, Kay. Thanks for the visit - no I'm not being paid. The young lady I am making these dresses for is a beautiful Hungarian (now Romanian) young lady in our church. She is having two ceremonies - one here in Wales, and one in Romania - hence two dresses. Not really sure if I'm barking mad attempting this, or just plain lovely... careful how you answer, now!!! She has designed the dresses - so Mabel and I are going to tackle a practice dress first to see how the patterns go - then do the real thing. At least the ceremonies aren't until August and September!!! So lots of time.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment re the Shiva Oil Paintstiks. I think they are readily available in the USA. (That's where mine came from.) And I have used them on card (rather than paper). And textured card (I think) is better than smooth card.

ReplyDeleteNow that's something really different for WOYWW! I have never seen such a beautiful bird feeder, and even more so since its renovation! It's stunning. Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment, and I'm sorry to hear that both you and our kitty Beatrice have been suffering in a similar way! Beatrice is progressing slowly but still wearing her little dress until her wound is completely healed and she can't damage it by scratching. She's going back to the vet this week and we'll see how she's getting on with her kidneys.
