WOYWW 147 - Working Through Grief

Yes, another Wednesday.  Can you believe it's almost April!?!  Holy moly.
Time for the blog hop of ALL blog hops, starting at Stamping Ground.
Hosted by the lovely Julia (who has fabulous handwriting).

This week started off a bit rocky for me.  My little Daisy Hammock crossed over Rainbow Bridge (see previous post).  Bless her soul.
She was a poodle - but not a fru fru girl.
To occupy myself I decided that I needed to make some more ATCs.  I had so much fun with my first swap.  Here's what my creative juices have come up with.
Creative Spirit
I bought this photo album to keep my ATCs in - both the ones I make and receive.

And finally - my desk.  Yikes.  It's piled so high I'm not going to even attempt
to list what's on it!  Sorry for the dark photo.

It worked really well last week, visiting those desks that ended in the same number as me.  I also visit everyone who visits me.  After that then I randomly select as many as I can.

Thanks for visiting.
Peace,
Kay

  2. I am glad you have some creative projects to occupy your mind ((hugs )) and I always pick out my favorites first when visiting and then depending on how much energy I have I'll visit others! So, no pressure on you being a favorite...but you better visit me! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

  24. Every week I come up with something new. This week it is the 5s and 10s and folks I "know." I love the ATC-it looks so filled with stuff. Does it have actual lace across the front or is that the design of the paper? I love the state of your desk. We've all been there. I've even pulled out a folding table to avoid any form of picking it up.

  28. Oh bless you. I know only too well how you feel. I started my blog to celebrate the life of my special chocolate Burmese cat, Toby. He was well in his teens at that point and we lost him aged 18.5yrs, which is quite good for a pedigree. Our life ended as I'm sure yours has just now. It never stops hurting, just gets a bit more bearable. If you want to venture more with your atcs try these little blogs:

  40. Kay, I'm so sorry you lost your little dog. That's really sad. I still miss all the kitties we've lost over the years - you never forget them once they've stolen your heart! I love what you are doing on your desk, and glad it is keeping you occupied.

I think it's a cool idea to visit those blogs that end in the same number as you - there are too many nowadays to visit them all unfortunately.

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog! Glad you like my knitting and Zentangles. I call them "glorified doodling" - if you're a purist, there are certain patterns used in true Zentangles, but really, I think, anything goes!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  41. Aww Kay, I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve had to make such an awful decision. I had to face the same problem a few years back with cat little cat Emily and it’s never an easy one to make. You’ve done the right thing thought as sad as you feel at the moment remembering all the fun and laughter Daisy brought you over the years will help get you through this tough time. (((hug)))

I’m pleased that your crafting has given you something else to focus on and you’ve done a great job with your ATC.

    Happy Crafting!

I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet miss Daisy - they leave such a void when they go to the Rainbow Bridge, don't they. Art is such a great therapy to work through grief - I love your little creation. Have you done any artwork related to the the Wild Abandonment class?? I am really loving following your picks on Pinterest!
